I’m excited to try it out whenever it becomes available (probably Q3 this year), I think it’ll probably be heavier than other optics in this category though.

For more info check out the first half of this video.

I am considering an AR pistol project whether I buy one or build one ( never built one before) as I have said before I have been nothing but impressed ith the Swampfox Blade but considering switching it to a pistol and thn perhaps a 1x6 LPVO of theirs for the rifle. I have always been a fan boy of Leuold and i do like the Vortex I got for the 10/22 but I like the Swampfox optics.

Side note: Not really sure yet what I think would bennifit me most either an Ar pistol in 556 or I am really thinking 9mm

All depends on use. I have prolly 7-8 ar pistols in 556 since I reload more for 556 and my main training bolt gun is 223. 10.5 plus barrel length ar are super accurate and handy. They make great truck guns!

I have never had or used one so this is all uncharted water for me. i would think an ar pistol in 556 wold also allow common parts between it and the rifle even mags and ammo obviously. On the other hand a 9mm with an 8" barrell would be pretty neat and compact. I DO NOT want anything I have to put a stamp on.

I would like to try the blade, I have a mild astigmatism so dots look a little star-bursty to me but it doesn’t bother me too badly.

If you’re staying 10.5” or longer I would go with 556, I built my 9mm to be suppressed so it has a 4.75” barrel. If you decide to go with 9mm definitely go with a lower that takes Glock mags as the mag well adapters for standard AR lowers are a pain.

The blade has a very easy to use reticle, at least to me. The quick eye adjustment feature made short work of the astigmatism and hell it's just plain nice to look through and use. I can't see red very well so I opted for the green.
What caught my interest is the PSA9 PCC with an 8" barrell. It is an AR style PCC and uses glock mags. I don't have a Glock but the mags are easy to find. Either this or a CZ Scorpion. I can see pluses to a AR15 pistol in 556 though also albeit some of what I percieve to be pluses may be false I am trying to learn

An AR9 might be the way to go for you, less recoil, (usually) cheap to shoot, less “boom” for teaching new/inexperienced shooters. They definitely have their upsides.

Any idea where to get other parts? I found random small stuff but no BCGs. Next week I'll get a grip, m7 sheath and sling. I've seen BCGs and the A1 style detachable carry handle pop up from time to time.

Finally home so I can start installing some of the parts that showed up over the last 2 months.
First up is a transformation of this PSA rifle into a viable “bump in the night” rifle for my sister, new handguard, stock, light, sling, and red dot.
I just need to make a ranger band or buy a neomag sling keeper to keep the sling tidy.
