    Whole lotta stuff
I love the super 42. It’s way more cost effective than other buffer solutions. I just bought another one to replace the no-name spring I had in one of my old ARs.

@JimBeam I placed my order for the Ultimate Upper this weekend! I went with the 18” stealth barrel build. I completed my Larue lower build this weekend as well, so I am now highly anticipating for my UU to come in!

I talked to Taylor and she said that it would take anywhere between a week and 6 months to get it. Quite a wait time, so I’ll just go ahead and expect a 6 month wait for it. If it shows up sooner, then all the better!

Yep I've kinda accepted I'll be at the longer end of the spectrum as I went with a 14.5 p&w with foliage furniture

Torn between building a better 16” gun or doing an SBR

Why not a pin and weld 14.5 or 13.7?

A few reasons. One, I don’t know anybody locally I could trust to do it, and I don’t wanna send it off somewhere to have it done. And I wanna get suppressors eventually and don’t wanna be tied to one flash hider

The trick is to pick a mounting system you want to commit to, and use them across the board. I hear lots of good stuff about KEYMO, I'm a YHM guy myself. 14.5 P+W with a brake, Kurz adapter, and 5.56 K can is a shorty combo that's not SBR, and relatively flickable.

When I was researching and comparing surpressors the ones that really stuck with me were the dead air ones. But I could change my mind between purchases lol

Then you just answered your original question, get a SBR if you plan on getting a suppressor. And yes, Dead Air is the way to go.

My buddy has the dead air nomad and it’s top notch. That’s what I’ll be doing when I’m done saving.

I like my SBR, and yes waiting for the tax stamp sucks. The 16" would remove that requirement, and will definitely be my next build.

I’m looking to go retro with one of my rifles. If anyone has any round handguards for a carbine laying around, please let me know! There should be plenty, as this is the first thing people yank off when they get an AR!
