I picked up a cheap blem PSA 8.5” 300 blackout upper last month with the intent of jumping down the suppressor rabbit hole.

Doing a little research and asking around, and SilencerCo. Omega 300 or a Dead Air Sandman S keep getting recommended. It’d be used on the 300w/subs primarily and maybe a little on my 10.5” 5.56/223.

I like the Dead Air keymo system better than the SilencerCo ASR mount, but I found out SilencerCo. offers their SPEQ pricing to firefighters/first responders and can save me a couple hundred bucks.

Anybody have side x side comparisons of the two? Seems like the omega is lighter and quieter of the two.

Yall recommend something else? I’d like to stay below 1k.

And also I’m lefty, so trying to avoid an absurd amount of gas blowback to the face.

So making headway on the current project all I need to do now is stretch distance out. First 3 shots were high left, second three were pretty good in the left target 55fmj then shot the right target with 62 grain which is what I’ll keep loaded.

thanks @cubie and @JimBeam helping me decide on the build.
Larue Ultimate upper kit (18” Barrell) built on an Aero enhanced lower with a Swampfox 1-10 lpvo I’m tickled so far

You absolutely cannot go wrong with LaRue. Best trigger and barrel out there.
Even after they raised prices this year…

ETA: My tOBR loves the higher grain bullets.

I want to try some 69 and 77 grain loads but 62 is the highest I’ve found around here so far. I liked the trigger so much I put one of the strait ones in the other rifle what an improvement

62 grain M855 green tip is easy to find and is all I use and I've also used M193 55 grain with good results

Anyone here know what it takes to finish off a Radian Lower receiver? It doesn’t look like a completely stripped lower. Is it just adding a trigger, buffer and stock/brace? Any insight appreciated. haven’t been able to find a YouTube video or anything else.

Looks like you need a buffer assemby, grip, and trigger of your choice. A few small lower parts pieces too, springs/detents. The right side bolt catch is interesting!

69g or 77g Federal GMM and you'll shoot groups like when he proofs them prior to shipping. 75g Hornady match also shoot lights out in his barrels.

Well dang; I was hoping it would be more like a disc brake job and not drum brakes. Thanks.

for the record I’ve never touched sub .5MOA. Gun shoots way better than me.

those are really nice lowers, love the pmag texture of the magwell. And the ambidextrous!

In my experience, just buy full lpks and keep the extras that this lower does not need, as spare parts.
It’s annoying as fuck when you shoot your last spring across the room and a replacement costs you $9 after shipping.
Save yourself the trouble and money.

Cmmg are good enough and do lots of oem work for the big guys, pretty decent lpk.
