If your looking for an A2 upper I bought mine at Thunder Tactical.
carbine are awesome! Some people argue that a mid-length is smoother but a properly gas carbine with the right buffer system is just as smooth.

I've never seen anyone selling hand loads at a gun show in my neck of the woods. That's a sure way to get on a list that you don't want to be on.

But I haven't been to a gun show in a few years. Too many beanie babies and beef Jerky stands.

I dropped the super 42 spring/H2 buffer into both of my carbines, and they both shoot like different guns now. Super smooth and no more twang, just a mild thunk instead. I recommend them to everyone with a carbine.

Niiice. Sounds weird, but I wish I hadn't Gucci'd so many of my ARs. Started off thinking "tacticool" is where it's at, all free-float, new stuff is best! Now I've come full circle and am starting to prefer classic, "KISS" guns instead. Have a Colt LE6920 I added a carry handle to and left mostly stock, but I'd love to get a couple more "clone" varieties like what you have.

    There exists a medium ;)

But yes, seeing some builders have nothing but gucci rifles is a little much. I know for sure I can't outshoot most these shooters on iron sights, so I don't even try lol. I stick to what I am good at. But I love seeing some classics at competitions run just as quick as the purpose built rifles for said competition. Always amusing.

Out of those three, which is your favorite and why?

The one on the right since it's lighter. I haven't shot the one on the left yet since I have to install the roll pin and front sight post.

I have 1 that I built with a BCM MCMR rail and Warcomp that I enjoy shooting so I will be keeping it. I got rid of the rest and will continue to sell off stuff here and there. I'll continue to hit up the gun shows and usual places for A1 and A2 receiver. I'll post it up and see if any of the member would like to buy it. They are getting harder to find or really expensive.

I've used Spike's T2's with JP flat springs for years with great success, but have been slowly converting my rifles to VLTOR A5.

I use to see it more in the past. Less the last few I went to. But I also haven't been to a gun show in 3 years. I do say they need more Beef Jerky vendors and less one stop shop stun gun, pepper spray, blow gun, sling shot, and Chinese throwing stars tables.

Less sock vendors. They were everywhere the last time I went! And they were also overpriced.

Lol, I don't think I've ever seen a sock guy at one but I certainly don't doubt they are there. Right next to the guy selling his flex seal cans in bulk. Gun shows really are so random.

That weird shit is on the people putting the gun shows on

One of our locals ones specifically won't allow less than 75% of the tables to be firearm or ammo dealers

Last time I went there was some guy trying to peddle what's basically a retractable night stick. It used woven steel cable and he twirled it around, almost smacked himself in the face. I think I spent a majority of my time lurking around that section just waiting to wrap a tourniquet around someone's head ;)

I have never invested in a different buffer spring or weight, but had given thought to grabbing an H series one. I think it's something I'd like to experience. So I put a super 42 in the cart but unsure of which weight to chose. H1, H2, H3? For my 5.56 setup w/ a 12.5" barrel and suppressor, any recommendations? What should I be expecting here?

Check out the buffer guide from Geissele:

    https://geissele.com/amfile/file/download/file/da1b1996a84774c4fd12769d09d6a50d/product/497/

Id go with an H3 since you’re shooting suppressed.

With the super 42 kit, you will eliminate all twang. It becomes a nice little thunk instead and your sight picture won’t pull off target as much after each shot.

So, for the suppressed shooters, is an adjustable gas block a must? Getting ready to send off a barrel to get pinned and welded. Once I do, there’s no changing out the gas block, so I’d rather upgrade now while I still can.

Setup will be 13.9” Ballistic Advantage barrel with a dead air Keymo flash hider for when my suppressor gets out of jail. Mid length gas system.

If you're not dead set on a certain muzzle, you could go with the VG6 SL's. Those can be pinned and still allow gas block changes.

Im set on the Dead Air Keymo for my suppressor to swap back and forth between my .300blk and the one in question which is 5.56.
