Ah, then I'd go adjustable just in case. I'd look at it as one of those "Rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it" deals. I picked up an adjustable Aero for $42 on BF. I bought it for my 300BLK build. It'll be a canned SBR :D

Just wrapped up two builds: A rifle using mostly 2A parts and a parts bin 10.5" build. 2A Lower, Aero Upper. 50/50 on parts between 2A and Aero. I used a mil-spec charging handle on both. They ain't Gucci but I kinda wish I'd sprung for nicer charging handles as the pistol is super gritty. Hopefully, things'll smooth out after sending some rounds downrange.

Adjustable gas block is rube Goldberg. Unless you keep them meticulously clean, they lock up and become non Adjustable gas blocks.

I don't like cleaning little holes and crevices. If I really had to adjust gas, I'd get one of those bootleg BCGs.

I disagree. I have had no issues with any of mine, including the cheap-ass Radical Firearms one I got for like $25. I use that on my AR308 that I use for deer that I haven't cleaned in like 3 years:D

I've had cheap ones and expensive SLR. They all got stuck eventually. I was disassembling the SLR after each outing. EFFF that.

The SLR block cost more than just buying a new barrel.... which is what I ended up doing.

Adj gas block is a doo-dad solution to an equipment problem.

not if you are shooting suppressed. Much better option than treating the symptoms like using a heavier buffer or spring. Odinworks is your friend.

MRO arrived today. Mounted it up on my AR Pistol. I generally like em right over the magwell, but with the shorter lop, I moved it a little more forward. Have a MI folding rear sight on the way.

Thanks @OnePuttBlunder for the Larue mount.

I bypassed all the ‘do I need an adjustable gas block or not or boot leg bcg or special gas buster charging handle’ and got one of the oss cans, off the 3 cans I have it’s my favorite. No messing with gas blocks and getting gas back in the face when shooting. It’s night and day compared to my sandman S.

Let me know what you think of that MRO. I'm a huge Trijicon fan, but have read hit or miss reviews on that particular optic.

I'm happy with mine. No issues running close range drills and shooting it out to 500 on steel. Hits the A zone just fine
In guess some folks bitch about extreme parallax issues but let's be real who shoots with this eyeline.

Good news to hear! I'm an iron sights guy and shoot them really well. I do want to try an MRO out due to the small profile and large ocular view. If this will give my wife an advantage in self defense, I'd like to try it out.

Just finished re-assembling my .300blk pistol. Had a BCA side charging upper, moved to an Aero slick side, 7” hand guard, 8” BA Hanson barrel.

I also managed to bend one of two new receivers right at the ejection port. Any ideas on how to try and bend it back? I stuck it in the vice to tighten the barrel nut like an idiot and of course the clamping pressure was too much for the thin metal.
