Well crap. I should learn to read more replies before repeating one......
Side charge, straight pull bolt action? Or maybe build a unicorn SBR, or an integrally suppressed.

Don't stick with 556 and instead put on of those 5.7 uppers on it that take P90 mags.

Ok then, what don't you have? Haha

I'm going to assume you have one at this point but if not maybe build something similar to what you already have but in a piston configuration.

im trying to avoid new calibers as I don’t really want to pay what’s being asked…otherwise I’d probably be on the Grendel or 450 train already

I can deffinately understand that it was just an idea. I wouldn’t want to start buying different calibers either. Hell I don’t have enough of what I have yet

Trijicon MRO's have parallax and edge distortion issues. Aimpoint all day.

That being said, despite being referred to as "parallax free," all red dots having varying degrees of parallax - it's just generally not as bad as with traditional optics.

    https://www.greeneyetactical.com/2017/07/27/comparative-study-of-red-dot-sight-parallax/

Anyway... when you're zeroing, keep the dot centered in the optic and keep your head stationary. Moving your head around is going to induce parallax and fuck up your zero.
