Picked up my first ever AR the other day. Ruger mpr with 18" barrel and Holosun red dot for the optics. Already hooked and lost down the rabbit hole looking at accessories

 

Congrats I hear the Rugers are nice rifles. Yes this whole thing gets very addictive

After many years of iron sights I finally put an optic on my AR:



I have a few cheaper dots on other guns but this thing is the best I’ve ever seen with my astigmatism. Rolled the dice and stoaked it lives up to the hype!

 

You've got to try a PA SLx Microprism 1x or 3x (the 1x might be better for the astigmatism) I love it! I ditched the Eotech after i got my eyes on Microprism. Tho i loved the Eotech too.

I toyed with the idea of some prism sights too but my sister in law hooked me up with her army discount on the eotech (repayment for many years of car repairs, oil changes, and house projects) which made it an easy choice.

Addiction? What addiction? You mean that feeling you get when you have an extra stock, so you build a rifle just to get rid of the extra part laying around? Or when you find an optic in a drawer and build a rifle just so it has a home? Shit. I need to pick up a few stripped lowers...

I can leave small spare parts alone. I've got a tackle box with spare springs, detents, etc. for just-in-case.
