    Sadly not yet
Bonta will appeal to 9th circuit where it will go to 3 judge panel and if they uphold it Bonta will appeal again to en banc panel who will likely overturn it because 9th circuit gonna do 9th circuit things
Most likely will need to go to Scotus
In the meantime it will probably be stayed the entire time thus leaving the status quo intact

This guy gets it. It’s gonna get the exact same runaround as when their high capacity magazine ban was struck down a few weeks ago for the second time. There were some very strongly worded dissenting opinions after the en banc panel upheld the mag ban.

Gotcha. So California residents will still have to buy one of those “California Legal” ones where you cannot remove the magazine without taking things apart?
That’s what I was hoping gets changed back to what I feel is normal. That and being able to legally have the Stock. All those modifications that were required are ridiculous.

This one is a little different than mag ban

Mag ban had made it to en banc before Bruen.
It was remanded back to Benitez to re hear in light of Bruen. (This was purely a time wasting strategy cause they knew Benitez would reach same decision again). If they let it follow standard process and let the appeal go to the 3 judge panel it just so happened the 3 judges assigned at the time were 2/3 conservative judges and likely would have lifted the stay based on merits of the case. Creating freedom will 2.0. So the 9th being the 9th skipped a step so they can move to the en banc.

The AWB hadn't made it that far yet so this one will likely follow the standard process.

I think both these cases along with the ones coming out of IL are primed for Scotus. They spit in the face of Bruen decision and Thomas's instructions on how 2a cases should be considered.

Until the stay is lifted or decision affirmed you are stuck with current laws. Even if the 9th circuit en banc affirms Benitez's decision it's plausible the stay remains in effect pending scotus appeal

I always go back and forth one which i like best in that era...kind of lean towards the Canadian C7 with the A1 upper receiver but the A2 handguard.

Anyone run into issues with captive trigger pins or CMC trigger malfunctioning when dirty?
I’ve got maybe 1300 rounds through my 13.9 build (run suppressed 99% of the time) and the other day my trigger wasn’t moving from the first hook to the second, if I flipped the safety a few times or pull the bolt back partially it would drop the hammer to the second hook (firing position).

I didn’t have much at the range with me so I used some 20W50 motor oil to lube the gun, no change, so I applied oil directly to the hammer spring and tried to clean some carbon off of the hammer, after some dry cycling I closed the upper and it was much better but still not 100%.

This is my first CMC trigger, I’ve always used the Larue triggers before and my 11.5 which is about as dirty hasn’t given any problems in 2K+ rounds since deep cleaning.

I have 3 CMC Triggers never had the first problem with any of them. All I ever do is blow them out with compressed air every now and then

What pins are you running? The CMC ones or a KNS type? I’ve always heard rumors about KNS “binding” up triggers over the years but never actually seen it. I’ve been running a couple CMC triggers for a long time. I bought my first one back in 2013 and it’s still going strong. I will caveat that with the fact that it’s been run suppressed 0% of the time I’ve owned it. I can theoretically see a cartridge type trigger getting bound up with carbon if enough suppressed rounds are pumped through it. It’s hard to say without seeing some photos if that’s the case or not. 1300 rounds seems a bit light for carbon seizing to be an issue though.

The mag not seating issue...did you slap the bottom of the mag in when you inserted it? Or try inserting with the bolt locked back?

Also not really sure how all the rounds fell out of the mag

As posted above, lube the bolt carrier group liberally

Get with a local person who can look over the gun in person...I see a LOT of ARs where the mag won't seat unless the bolt is locked open or you hit the baseplate after initially inserting it

Are these 30rd mags that you’re topping off? Are you easing the charge handle forward or dropping it like a sling shot? These rifles haven’t been unreliable since nam, this should be easy.
