What direction does the brass go. I'm guessing by the marks on the deflector it's over gassed sending the brass in the 1-2 o'clock position.

My gun range is a pasture and a bitch to find brass, so I had a brass catcher on it. I’ll shoot it again this weekend without the catcher to determine where the brass is going.

Take someone with you so they can better observe where the brass is going.

    Or a go-pro.

You don't even need to watch the brass fly if you slo mo a couple of rounds cycling out of the upper

I'm usually a loner :( but I do have some tarps I lay out to catch brass from the M1A, so it should be obvious where they are going, I think.

The camera is another good idea if you can position your phone or gopro to record it.

Definitely worth looking at upgrading spring to sprinco and buffer to h2 or even h3. Can just start with the heavier buffer too. Shorties can usually get away with heavier H3 buffer especially suppressed.

More expensive option upgrade to A5 buffer system with sprinco and heavier buffers. Put this on my 13.7 build and it's crazy how soft this thing shoots.

In general is it better to use slightly heavier buffer(H2) with stronger spring or heavier buffer(H3) with stock spring?

Combo of Sprinco and a heavier buffer helped me out. I have a 12.5 and once I added a suppressor is was pretty over gassed. like 12:30 ejection.

I'm interested in the A5 and a quick search says you can use any standard stock with it. Which is good for me.

@kodiakisland set your phone to video in slow motion. It helped me diagnose a 450 bushmaster that was under gassed.

Spring doesn't make any difference. All it will do is make whatever buffer weight you do have slam back into battery harder. It's the buffer weight that keeps the bolt closed longer when over gassed.

I use AR-15 carriers (called them "commercial") in my 300blk guns. Don't know if they even make those anymore.

Man. A lot of the Sig Romeo stuff is pretty cheap on e bay.. Wondering if they're all knock-offs, though.

They are made in China anyway. Nothing to "knock off" really.

lol valid point. I did see some models that actually say "clone" replicas. So who friggin knows.

What I do know is that fancy Trijicon will have to wait. I'll probably go with a PA SLx MicroPrism

Probably. I bought one off Amazon last year that ended up being a knockoff.

Yup. I looked into that. They're shiny instead of matte finish, have a smaller field of view, don't come with energizer batteries, and if it says "Sig Sauer" on the bottom, it's fake. It should be one word "SigSauer".

The one I got was matte finish, but yea not an energizer battery and sig sauer as two words on the bottom. Was my first optic so I would have normally not noticed anything and probably just run it, but there was just a bit of what looked like glue spilling out near the emitter that seemed weird to me for a production item, and then once I started looking into it found out fakes did exist and contacted sig who confirmed it was fake.
