300 AAC Blackout is also known as 7.62×35mm, which is what is stamped on the mag. Not 7.62x39 the AK round.

 

Is there any real diff between 300 BLK and 5.56 mags other than possibly the spring strength (300 BLK being stronger)?

 

A few companies put a different shaped follower in for 300blk. Springs are the same. I've only ever used 556 mags, never had an issue.

 

Yes. On some rifles it doesn't matter, others can be a bit more finicky. Note the side tabs.

 

When I reload 300blk subs, I work up the loads with the bullet at a COAL which matches the part of its diameter that rides on the mag rib with the diameter of a 556 neck. That way they don't "pigeon toe". Not possible to do with every projectile, but it helps. Some very short projectiles (110 plastic tip) also have feed issues because of the long travel distance to the feed ramps, in addition the feed ramps aren't made for 30cal bullets.

It's just painful to watch how slowly breaches of our constitution are corrected.

Too many sheep I suppose.
