AR-15 BS Thread

Sometimes like my AR with sprinkles.

 

Sent the Vortex UH-1 in for warranty so I decided to pull the magnifier and put an LPVO on the 13.9.


And then decided to swap out the rail on my 11.5 rifle since I’ve had this new rail for almost a year.




And then dug out this 10.5” upper, needs a carry handle, drilled to pin the A2 FSB, and submit a form so I can get an A1 stock for the lower I want to use on it.

 

Took the rifle out to the new property to stretch its legs a little, shot at 100, 200, and 280.
I still haven’t done a paper zero but I got it pretty close at 100 on steel and then made one adjustment on windage and sent it from there.


200 yards.



Pushed it out to 280, furthest I can go right now due to how the land is.
Only 2 misses at 280 with 32 or 33 rounds sent, I’m pretty happy with that.

 

Went out and collected data in the wild today, 3 barrel lengths, 5+ ammo types, suppressed/unsuppressed, and with the 16” I even measured velocity with 4 different suppressors, 2 .30 cal, 1 .224 and 1 .46 cal.

I’ll probably end up making it a video and make a white paper of the data.

I wonder if that works on all generations and other brands?

 

I dunno, i was going to try tomorrow on some mags

I tried it with aluminum mag. Didnt seem to work

 

I have an off brand platic mag seems to work ok.

Hey everyone. New to the forum. Not new to this game though. Figured I’d share a couple of the ladies

 

I kinda thought the same when I saw them and they’re my guns.

 

Finally sitting down and figuring out how to make charts in Excel and apply the data that I collected, interesting to see that the Resonator K data was highest velocity and lowest standard deviation, it was the last group of data that I collected in this ammo type (M193).

 

Considering a new project. From what I can tell AR pistols are still legal we just can’t apply a brace or sight with eye relief correct?

 

It should be only the brace.
