I assume he meant it as an answer to your question about what people thought about piston conversions.

As I'm the one that wrote it, it sums up my opinions quite nicely. :D

    Check out my sig...
    Finally finished my AR.
    JD Machine Lower
    PSA LPK
Magpul grip, stock, handguard, and rear sight
    Spikes ST-1 buffer
Noveske N4 16" recce basic complete upper

Looking for a 9mm and found an OD FNH FNP-9 for $499 locally. Got it out of CA imposed jail on Sat. Gonna have to take her back for night sights later this week.

And the gramps of the group - my Kimber Ultra Carry II. Was sent to Robar about a year ago for some work and Roguard coating. After only about 4 range trips it looked to be a lot more worn then I expected given the explanation of the coating so I emailed Robar and got it recoated in NP3... Not black anymore but still SEXY!

BTW - Rob - thanks for all you do for the gun community. Really looked at all of your reviews and suggestions as well as those of others. Originally had the Spikes middy on order and the Noveske came in on the same day so changed my order. Came down to the fact that it was going to be <$200 more for the N and the longevity and/or resale are damn near guaranteed to be better.

In my less-than-professional opinion, you can blue locktite it and it should be fine. I don't even do that (probably should) and have not had one come loose yet. It would hurt to pick up a punch and just stake it though.
Btw, I'm diggin that QD light mount...

my bad i was trying to figure out my DSLR... why cant it be as easy as my ar haha....
yea dude i love it... and when i get optics i would like to get their quick detach scope mount.... LaRue makes some fantastic stuff..
Naw its actually the AFG 2... i think its awsome to be honest.... i thought it was a gimmic at first cuz i really like the vertical fore that i have... but when trying this sucker out.... it feels comfortable and gives more of a natural feel..... i only use the bipod when bench wrest shooting... it suckd though cuz they wont fully fold up... which im not worrying about cuz i take it off if i do any off bench wrest shooting... sucker gets heavy lol

yea with that adaptor and bipod it really starts to add weight IMO... but i really like being able to flare out my non trigger arm... from what i understand its better to have it as far as possible to keep muzzle control..??? please correct me if i am wrong as i am still trying to understand things myself...

No, you're right, it just looked to me (if you're to keep it that way) that the bipod got in the way. But if you're only using it here and there, no big deal, I was just wondering.

    LMT 10.5" upper ~$450
    Tax stamp $200
    Bolt carrier group $120-$200+
    Charging handle ~$20+
Low profile gas block ~$70 (or nothing if you cut down the front sight base like I did)
    Troy free float rail ~$160+
    flip up iron sights ~$175
    Complete Lower ~250+
    Magpul crap ~$175+
