Does anybody know where to buy cheap bulk ammo online? Ammotogo.com has fiochhi .223 55gr for $320 (which is my favorite ammo to shoot) and I feel its a fair deal. Any suggestions?

i know its not bulk, but from what i've seen you don't save that much buying bulk unless its some kind of surplus ammo
btw, that PMC x-tac stuff is AWESOME!
    also, try wideners

Appreciate it guys, thank you. I've had my eye on that PMC Xtac so I'll definitely try it out now.

By the way heres a pic of my MP15: Not the greatest pic but it works for now

I pick up my DPMS Oracle in two days. I've already had Magpul MBUS front and rear put on it along with Vortex Strikefire red dot with Primary Arms Gen III Flip-to-side magnifier and all the other flat dark earth MOE stock, grip, and foregrip. Can't wait!

For cheap ammo I've gone to ammotogo and cheaperthandirt. Every once in a while cabellas will be cheap if it's on sale and free shipping since no tax for me.

    Look at PSA for ammo.
I'm looking into building a 6.8 upper for my dad. He is wanting a AR but wants more than a 5.56.

gun-deals.com keeps a running list of all current ammo prices on the internet. You can provide your zip code and it will include shipping costs as well. The site provides a sortable "spreadsheet" style index of nearly every caliber of ammo where you can sort on make, grain, casing, etc. as well as price per round. I would suggest this site to any person who wants to make an informed decision on buying ammo. In addition, the following site is good to read reviews on the ammo so you make sure you aren't buying complete junk...

He was asking for bulk ammo so I gave him the price of 1,000 rounds shipped.

I found the WalMart here sells Federal American Eagle 55gr for $5.82 a box. That's what I've been buying.

3" Lift (Bilstein 5100s, OME 886s, Deaver U402 leaf springs) , KMC 18" Addict wheels, BFG All Terrain T/A Tires, Demello Off-road front and custom rear bumpers, winch, Satoshi Grille. That's it... for now.
I am running an Aimpoint Micro H-1 which I love. The H-1 has no night vision capability and I can't scuba dive with it but since it is my personal weapon and not my work gun, I don't care. I don't have my own NVGs (nor am I planning on spending the money on them) and I am not some SEAL wannabe. As always YMMV.

    I have a few.

Currently I've got a midlength RRA lightweight upper/Stag lower that's free floated, Eotech, flashlight, etc that is my go to rifle. Got a 12" pistol that is waiting on form 1 paperwork, and I have a Bushmaster 20" HBAR I'm thinking of selling to fund other builds.

BRD is terrible I tell you! :D

ACOG best of all worlds and simple to use. Earlier in the thread people were talking about hold overs, these are about as idiot proof as possible

    DSC_0041-1_69edb55113d43929c51e4fb868cf32e4ab92d218.jpg

The 4 and the 6 below the reticle stand for 400 yards and 600 yards. This is calibrated to 62gr. projectiles which is about dead bang in the middle of the 5.56/.223 range of ammo weight. I have stretched it to 400 yards and hit milk jugs first shot dead center no problem. The rifle is pretty accurate though and needs to be to make the most of your scope.

    For what kind of shooting?
I use magnified for distance/precision, Aimpoints for defensive guns, Eotech for game gun.

I think the best all around is the Aimpoint Pro with 2 MOA dot. Close second would be the TA33GH compact ACOG with the Aimpoint getting the advantage if more short-range/indoor shooting and the ACOG getting the advantage if more medium-range/outdoor shooting. To clarify, for me:
    short-range <100 yards
    mid-range = 100-200 yards
    long-range >200 yards.

For the defense-minded non-LE civilian (and even most LE) not living on farms, the Aimpoint is the A-answer. and it's only $410+/-

I'm running an aimpoint m4 on my gun and it's really nice. A little heavy but I don't plan on hoofing it through the mountains so I'll be ok.

The Aimpoint M4 is a GREAT optic, it's just a bit of overkill for most people's uses, and it's a $300+ premium over some other models. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, definitely top shelf, but it's very expensive.
