Ordered my custom DDM4 last night...it was a pain and the sight was extremely slow, but its done. I originally wanted to order a larue predatar but the wait is extremely long.

I ordered a LaRue last week. I fully expect it to be close to a year before I see it, that is if it doesn't get banned before I get it!

That's one of the reasons I got the DD, I didn't want to risk a ban to take effect. LaRue is definitely an excellent company, who makes great products.

You will have a quality rifle for sure, Daniel Defense makes top quality firearms. Between DD, BCM. LMT, Colt, Knights Armament, and Noveske, it is hard to make a wrong choice. JMHO

Thanks! I can't wait to get it. The PX on fort sill had a Daniel defense in, but there was a person ahead of me in line and they scooped it up...sucked, but now I ordered one how I want it and its roughly a 2-3 week wait. Pics will be posted when it arrives.

If you want a Daniel defense rifle, then go to there sight at midnight EST, and the custom build part opens up and you can build one, but you have to be quick because it gets crowded and the server slows down big time. They shut it down once they reach the build limit for the day and then it re-opens at midnight the next day. It took me 2 attempts, but I got one and can't wait to get it. Good luck in your search

anybody ever heard of or used ROHG lpk's?

also i'm getting a complete upper, heres the specs.

    Caliber: 5.56 NATO / .223 Remington

Barrel: 18" Wylde Chamber Chrome Moly (4140), Carbine or Mid Gas System *Please specify when ordering*

    Twist: 1 in 8

i know it isn't a chrome lined barrel, but i won't shoot that many rounds through it and i always clean my guns as soon as i get home from shooting.
i would also like the little bit of added accuracy.

Chrome lined barrels are the least desirable barrel out there. The only thing they have going for them is longevity of life but with the sacrifice of accuracy (usually). Melonite treated barrels deal with this well as they offer durability and longevity of life without sacrificing accuracy because no lining (which is very difficult to regulate) is added. Besides most people. Even shooters won't shoot out a CMV or a stainless barrel. Just (as you said) take care of your equipment.

I also recommend mid gas over a carbine gas. Especially on an 18.
