i got my order in and contacted them just now, and they said 2-4 weeks...

I at least got lucky and found .22lr locally today

 

Hmm, I asked about that and told me "backordered and no estimate" guess it depends who you get on the phone...

I was not so lucky. Went to four wal-mart stores and a dicks sporting goods. Found no .224/5.56 0r .22lr Tomorrows my last day off before work week begins so I hope to find some online or at a local gun shop before then.

anyone used a boresight before? whats a good quality one to buy?

Can't recal which brand I used but it got me on paper at 100 yards first shot. That's all I wanted from it so I guess it worked great. Took a few more shots to dial it the rest of the way in.

 

Yeah. I don't feel like wasting money on overpriced ammo to sight in my rifle and my buddies rifles.

.70$ per round for 30 year old surplus tracers.

I wouldn't pay that for brand new ammo.

You guys need to pull your heads out. That's .25$ round ammo.

 

Found a 500 round brick of .22lr and 100 rounds of .223 at local stores today.

 

Did anyone else see Stag arms sold a few stripped lowers for $289 each.....

 

It's a waste of money, especially on an AR. Just pull the upper, remove the bolt and then prop the upper upright on some bags or bench towels or something so it stays put. then look through the bore and tweak it to center up a target at 25 yards. Dial in your sights or scope to match and shoot 3 rounds. You'll be on paper and probably pretty close to target. Adjust to 1" low at 25 yds and you'll be just a bit high at 100. Adjust as desired from there.

I've sighted in probably 50 rifles in my time and have never seen the need for a boresighter. I guess they're good for guns like the 10/22 where you can't see down the bore.

 

Just sight your shit in at 36 yards.

 

got my LPK, got the buffer detent installed,rear takedown installed, mag release with roadblock, and I'm working on the selector and trigger.
but the kit was missing the front takedown detent and the trigger gaurd was missing the detent.

 

I'm currently at a 50 yard zero. What would be a good distance to sight in for plinking and some coyote hunting?

 

I have found my grail AR.....a turnbull. TAR-10. It is sexy, and farther out of my price range than I want to think about, anyone seen one of these in person?
