is this your first go thest course? you could go the cheap route and load up on the airsoft quality stuff to see how you like running a chest rig or a batman belt, then upgrade to much better stuff later.

I personally would recommend getting something from the following four companies:

    1. First Spear
    2. TYR
    3. Tactical Tailor
    4. Original SOE
You'll need to play with a lot of different configurations to figure out what works best for what you do. If you are just doing carbine training courses, I would recommend:

A lightweight chest rig (either with or without armor) with the capability to run a minimum of two magazines on the chest and a water bladder on the back. I would also use a pistol belt with padding (First Spear padded AGB Sleeve) and then run your pistol magazines and a spare AR magazine or two on the belt in Fast Mag pockets. Keep your pistol magazines up front and your AR magazines at the hip.

Keep your back area free of anything heavy / hard and make sure you keep your IFAK readily available. I keep my SOF tourniquet and my hemostatic agent separate and on the front of my chest rig.

You'll need to play with your setup with your weapons and slings and make sure everything works. Buy something modular so you can adjust it without getting a whole new rig.

    Just my $.02.

Yesterday I received a used Taurus 82 from:
    http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/p...PL+4%22+Barrel

It had holster wear around muzzle and cylinder, a few small surface discolorations, as advertised, but, in all, a very solid, large frame, .38 spl +P.
Great for a truck gun and only $208, just checked and they're $230 now.
Ran $15 transfer through Rapid Fire Bunker, very professional and pleasure to deal with.

Yes it is. I seen some Condor stuff around my area too, that stuff seems cheap in pricing to experiment with.

Thats what I'm leaning towards, just buy a modular style rig and add pouches as I go.
the one from US Grunt Gear looks pretty good and Simple.

Sling wise what are you all using? I have the MagPul MS3, I'm not really digging it.
