SMH, I feel sorry for guys that can't get mags. My local shop has had them on the shelves and at normal price this whole time.

Ive been seeing lots at steel mags online in stock. Midway and natchezz had some the other day. I even saw some 10/22 25 round mags in stock too. hopefully not too much longer and the ammo supply will catch up.

I have a question, I really want to shoot 20-30 rounds through my AR before we leave, dads colt has only been fired ~50 rounds.
Can I use his BCG? On AR15.com I read its okay if the round count is under 500 since the bolt had not gotten comfortable with the barrel.

Got my 2 stage adjustable trigger in the mail today. Started putting it in and found out a need to tap more threads in the hole the grip screws into.... off to buy a tap and die set tomorrow.

Buddy of mine gave this to me. Any ideas on what kind rear sight this is? No markings on it.

Willing to trade for a folding rear sight

You'll be fine. A bolt is not cut to the specifications of a certain barrel unless you specifically buy a match set. So, we rely on bolts and barrel extensions to both be within certain tolerances and therefore compatible. Your dad's 20 rounds isn't going to do anything to the bolt to take it out of spec, so it should be fine to drop into yours if you'd like.

Thats odd. Ive never heard of needing to do that. Are you sure you dont just need a shorter screw?

lol nope. Theres a sear disconnect screw that threads in before the screw for the grip does and its supposed to stick in about 1/4" into the cavity and it stops right at before it starts to stick out. i looked and there are no more threads. so just gotta tap a few more.

This is the trigger i got.
