    That's what the mossy 500 and SIG are for.. But I get your point... I figured I should get better with this rifle... Before anything else lol.. Also I see now the "weight" factor... Ah well I guess I'm learning haha

    The rifle you have built is more of a precision rig. I don't think that the light can reach as far as the rifle and optic combo can. Plus you said it best, you have a shot gun for bumps in the night. I am building an SBR right now and it will be what gets the scout light, but not my DMR. The only reason why I am doing an SBR is because one of my many hats is a repo man and these long tree covered driveways will give batman pause. I have already had a pistol put to my nose, so I think a rifle I can fire from the driver's seat without issue is in order. People need to keep the intended role of their weapons in mind when they start to build them. Sure you can build a nice general purpose rifle that does just about everything well, but it will weigh a metric shit ton. I have formulas for rifles in my head I need to publish one day.

    Yeah Sandman, it is an A3 and I absolutely love it. She runs and runs and is accurate as all hell. I put up .5 inch shot groups with two rounds impacting the same hole. I think your rifle was nice as she sat with the light and the AFG, but like you pointed out, I bet it was kind of heavy. I see no problem in running it like that though, you seem to be a strong fella. I just have memories of 25 mile humps running through my head and I am kind of a minimalist when it comes to stuff. My opinion carries no more weight than your own though, so just enjoy your rifle any way you want to run it. As long as you train with it you will be fine.
