You'll like the Strikefire. I've had one for about four years now. It works just the same as my PRO. Batteries don't last as long, although mine is still running on the originals. It's probably seen at least 1500 rounds in four years.

Great job, buddy! I've had some friends say "you'll never kill a hog with 5.56" but I wanted to try it anyway. I think you want a 7.62x39 or 300blk instead of a .308. ;)

I usually hunt with my .308 but with the right placement you can take em down with .223. I took this boar at 160yds with one shot through the ear 40grain vmax.

I'd want all of these if there was any way to find ammo on-island. Took me forever to find some 5.56. If I had to look for 6.8/.50beow/300blk id be fucked haha

Set your mind at ease. It's a coyote. ;)
Here is another from the same day. This is one of the things we do to keep our hunting privilege on this ranch.

Patrick, you said it. "Shot Placement!"

I keep a survival gun around. It's only .22. Yeah, um, took down 3 dear and other various game with proper shot placement. I would NOT recommend anyone try this unless you are an excellent shot and are a crack shot with the firearm you are hunting with.

The first deer I took WAS in a survival situation. The others, well, we could have survived fine with what we had. A Hot meal in the cold of winter for the next 3 weeks really brought up the morale. Especially after a few of the guys lost their packs on a cliff face.

I agree with the shot placement argument.

but a few of the bigger 200lb+ boar like to run even after a red zone hit. a little more muzzle energy would be nice

Yep. This guy charged us within 5 yds and my .223 didn't phase him. I broadsided him as he passed me andMy buddy unloaded his .357 into him and he dropped.juju8y6a_b2e2da169cabdc4e0449d6218b2bbcddd05df580.jpg
