No optic plans...I like my MBUIS just fine on this one. I'll be doing an Aimpoint on my next project though - that'll be 3-6mo before I can touch that one though! :D

Howdy fellas. So, I'm lookin to have an SBR built.. for those who have them, Is the 4 months worth It? Lol. I've always wanted one.. but Damn do i hate waiting.

Gonna go with 11.5" and a 9" rail, with magpul furniture. Either all black or coyote. Haven't decided yet.

Also, anybody have the magpul angled foregrip? Input on them?

I have an angled an vertical... Truthfully I think both do well but have preferred the vertical just cuz I like the stubby vertical fore... But Im going on preference as far as fighting or competition wise... Thats where everyone else will chime in.. lol

from my very amateur experience, the afg does not really work on a carbine length rail (it just felt wrong and uncomfortable). it feels ok on the end of a middy rail, and would probably work great on a rifle length. i have a carbine MOE handguard and the MVG (vert grip) works very well. i am not a LEO or military, and i probably have horrible fundamentals as i am 'self-taught', but that's my $0.02. YMMV

Cool, thanks guys. I'll probably try both, and just rotate them between the AR and my BT TM-15 paintball gun. Lol

Anybody have some opinions on 9" rails? I'm looking for as close to a monolithic as possible. quad rail obviously, something that flows into the uppper nicely.

Yea and to tell you the truth it will end being what's more comfortable for you... It's something I have learned whether your a LEO, Military, comp shooter, or an average hobby shooter like myself each person will have Their own style of shooting and what feels comfortable to them... But the fundamentals will stay the same... IIRC my LWRC is 9" let me check..

I know when I shoot other rifles and play paintball and use my BT (almost exact replica of an HK) I use the mag well as my grip, so I was thinking of that option too, a mag well grip.

Cool thanks! Maybe by the time gets here to drop the casholla, ill convince myself to Just go with a mono rail, but holy hell they are expensive. lol
