    Lol yup.

In terms of tools it's usually better quality and the saying you get what you pay for goes a long way in the firearms industry, same as with vehicles, I'm not gonna go buy some cheap piece of shit suspension for my truck. And my $550 aimpoint t1 is worlds better than my $125 mueller RDS.

WHY? Well it's already been dropped about 30 times, it can be dunked underwater pretty far actually, and battery life... I got it a year ago and I haven't turned it off.

The mueller held a zero, but it started getting sketchy after 1500 rounds. Then I dropped it one and it died. And the battery life sucked.

I was 100% sarcastic but I've beaten the crap out of it carrying it around and it hasnt given me any trouble, so at least I've gotten my money's worth

I saw that one. Not sure I want to spend over $100 on a carry handle though. It's going on my budget build.
Damn! I usually check their site daily but I've been busy at work and haven't been checking in. :frusty:

But in all seriousness, a $100 holo will get the same job done just as effectively as an eotech or aimpoint or trijicon. Just because the military uses it, doesn't mean everything else is crap. Granted, my $100 sightmark might not hold up to getting the shit beat out of it in Afghanistan, but who here actually abuses their personal rifle and puts it through its paces like they are in a warzone? Probably nobody on here

I'll be honest. A lot of these AR accessories are built the same place with different names put on them. I ended up buying a cheapo carry handle/rear sight from ebay. It sighted in in just a few rounds and doesn't feel as cheap as it is.
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/181299235511?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Then I logged onto Spike's tactical to look at theirs and it looks the same. Just like the basic buttstocks, they are all the same with different stamps on them.

My friend bought a $1200 Stag Arms 2T legal in NY and his barrel looks EXACTLY the same as mine except his has Stag Arms engraved in it, and there's a mark back by the buffer tube, ours just each have a different symbol there

I ended up buying a Barska carry handle from Amazon for $25 shipped. I did basically what you're saying, I'll try it out, see how it works. For what i'll use it for, I can't justify paying 4x more for the other brands, at least not at this time.

    Yes!! WTF.

I was looking through the #cryeprecision photos on instagram yesterday and I would bet that 90% of the photos on there were from air softers or "milsim" guys. It was ridiculous considering those Crye pants sell for $202

Best part was all the idiots that blur or blackout their faces in the pictures of them all decked out in their kit and they're holding an airsoft gun...... much opperator, so tacticool.....smh

Same, I only bought it to make sure the gun works and until i decide on other optics.

Because they can get 50k rounds for the price of 1k of ours :D = more money for gear/stuff that doesn't help them anyway.

Don't worry about it. When SHTF, their airsofts will be useless.

I do, and if something doesn't hold up to those abuses its not getting put on my rifle. How much is yours and your families life worth? If you EVER think there is a slight possibility that your rifle is going to be put to defensive uses you better ask yourself long and hard, is my gear up to task? You cannot control the environments that life happens in. That cheap RDS might work at the range but last I checked most defensive scenarios rarely happen at the range or in range like conditions.

I also live my life by Yvonne Chounard's principle, poor people can't afford cheap shit. I would rather pay $500 for one aimpoint that I know will last my lifetime than buy four $125 red dots. Just the added benefits of battery life and warranty alone make up for the added costs over time. With Aimpoint Pros costing less than $400 its almost inexcusable not to go that way. Now don't get me wrong if you have one go to rifle that has the good stuff on it, put all the cheap shit you want on your other rifles, but if my life may depend on it, its getting known quantities regardless of cost.

To me the fact the Aimpoint T1 survives this testing is more impressive than the rifle surviving it.

Oh and as far as Airsoft guys having better gear than regular military guys, China does not care about patent infringement. Most of that stuff is VERY fake but made to be almost indistinguishable from the real thing.

However true that May be, a good set of BUIS is also there for the "oh shit" scenarios

No doubt. My understanding though is some Army units are not adding BUIS to M4s equipped with ACOGs because they are that reliable.

I was looking at ear pro reviews a while back and I found a decent reviews on msa sordins. Well it was an airsoft kid doing the review... Didn't know ear pros are that important to them. I ended up buying peltors 6s

A customer of mine is rocking a legit trijicon srs on his hk416 airsoft clone. F that. I'd get the primary arms rds if I airsofted

On my rifle it's the same. No back up iron sights acog only
My buddy on his last deployment said most of the time if the acog failed. The rifle is already gone. He didn't run any buis on his rifle either.

Just like DD aimpoint, the rifle stopped before the aimpoint did.
