I have the 8.2" (think that's the one) rainier ultranatch barrel. Shoots great!

As for suppressor...I think you can do better than the one you linked. The specwar 762 meters better and costs about the same. Nothing wrong with the 762 sd just feel can do better and support better companies instead

Will .458 tolerate gas checked hard cast bullets?

And can I get an encore or contender barrel for .458?

I have an 8" Noveske and an AAC 8" and they both perform great. I'm partial to the Noveske and running a TBAC 30P suppressor is a great combination. I load my own and I've worked up some great 220 grain loads. Inside of 100 it's solid.

Here's what the 762SD looks like on an 8.5" barrel. I wish the SDN6 was out when I ordered it - an inch or two shorter would be a welcome change. Also, the re-introduced 762SD is not the old 762SD, so be wary of older reviews. AAC reintroduced it as a budget can that rates slightly louder. Don't know how much of that is marketing, but something to consider. I'd drop the $800 on the SDN6 if I was buying today.

If anyone is interested and local to me (Im in Bristol tn) I'm selling a dpms lr308 stripped lower, assembled upper (has charging handle, forward assist and dust
Cover), BCG, and the majority of a Lower parts kit (some of it got pirated for another lower)

    http://www.armslist.com/posts/32631...-lr-308-stripped-lower--upper--bcg-and-parts-

Also, anyone ever done the brass trade in program with freedom munitions?

Apparently they give 2.50 off your order of ammo per point of brass you send them

Yeah, if I hunt longer range I'll use the .270 or build a 6.8 for that.

Thank you guys for the info, I'll look into the rainier arms barrels more as they are more likely to be in stock, and I'll check out some other suppressors.

I see a delta pack in the pic...what hand guard is it exactly? If it's a two piece design, do you have it installed with the wrong rail facing up perhaps?

I'm no expert. But judging from your other picture. The 2 holes that look like qd holes are on the T section of the rail. T is top right?

It is from time to time, but this is the one I use the most and play around with when I'm watching tv or whatever. It has been pretty humid here for the past week or so, which is probably a factor. I've been running it pretty dry as well, so maybe it's the lack of protection in that regard.

That's not a freefloat rail then. It's a drop in rail and you probably just don't have the right side up.
