so broke a PSA pistol buffer tube. Switch to a phase 5 hex tube. I like it way more:

actually it fit tighter on the PSA brace. I had to use WD40 to get it off. I think it got loose because it was loose on the hex tube so I had to wrap some electrical tape on the hex tube to make it stay snug

Hello all, I am looking to collect some research on converting .223 to 300 aac blackout....I know nothing about it other than 300 would be better for hogs. Anything you guys know would be nice!

 

I'd use .223 on hogs.

I'm planning on my AR being my Coyote weapon


What i want to know is, why is .300 black out so popular now? Personally, i would like my next build to be .308

 

.223 is too light for my liking for the hogs we have. I'd love a .308 but the .300 would be better since I already have an AR15 fully built. I think I just have to swap the barrel?

 

Head or neck shoot the hogs maybe?

Supersonic/sub ammo,Muzzle Energy, larger round, etc. just to name a few. A fantastic caliber yet, I still think it will go down as one of the best marketing plans in firearm history.

I too am a huge fan of .308. Although a bit more $ to put most of my rounds down range a year, it is hands down my fav.

 

Fortunately the ammo prices are almost normal again. I don't think i'll mind buying .308

 

You just can't put a big bullet in a small case after making it smaller and expect good performance. The 300BO is a phenomenal CQB and subsonic round. It's crap for hunting.

The 300 is very under powered for hunting. Just do a little research on other than advertisement posts. Go to predatormasters forums and other actual hunting forums you'll find it out on your own. Swap the barrel and bolt to 6.8 if you want a pig gun.

The 308 is a good choice too of course. I prefer the AR15 weight to the AR10 weight is all. I've killed a lot of animals with the 6.8 so I know it works well. Hundreds of pigs, lots of deer and a customer of mine killed a 270lb dressed out black bear this year.
