Yup - KNS pins. I install them on all my ARs.

I have Geissele SSA-E triggers in two of my AR's. I read somewhere that it was not recommended to install KNS type anti-rotating pins with that trigger. Any truth to that?

Not in my experience, but I have heard that. I have KNS pins and Geissele triggers in three ARs and they work great. I guess if Geissele is super concerned about it they can come out with some anti rotation pins of their own. Until then I'll run KNS.

Did a quick search online and it seems the Hi-Speed trigger has some non-mil-spec clip locations that need a special groove in the pins, so I'd use the Geissele pins if I had that trigger. I have the SSA in three guns and they work fine with KNS pins.

Geiselle recommends using their pins. They are the ones who advise not using the KNS pins.

I don't really see the point in those pins. If you have good parts and it's built right they aren't coming out. The U.S., Israeli, and Canadian militaries don't seem to have an issue with their high round count rifles walking pins out.

I completely agree with the exception of drop in triggers. They are a way better alternative to how all the drop in triggers work with mil spec pins.

Drop in triggers work by applying upward pressure so the holes in the trigger and the receiver don't want to align. This applies pressure on the pins so they can't walk out. Therefore the captured pins on the KNS set work better in my opinion.

x2, and the reason I bought KNS pins. Even if it is overkill, they're not overly expensive so call it cheap insurance.

I will say this about KNS. Their pins as stated above are not expensive. They are precision machined so they are a step up to the pins you get in a mil spec trigger (even though those are most the time perfectly fine) so that's a bonus. All my rifles run Geiselle triggers with Geiselle pins which are good quality or black rain drop in triggers with KNS pins. So either way I'm running quality pins.

Disclaimer: I've never ever seen mil spec pins wear out or break prematurely. All parts on a firearm are wearable and need servicing and replacing.

Personally, I would not get a red dot in a magnification. It works better as 0x. You can look through it with both eyes open. If you want 3x, get a 3x magnifier to work in conjunction with it on a quick flip mount like Larue Tacticals.

That one is recommended by quite a few people. Check on cheaperthandirt.com for a lower price, i was $620 shipped when i bought mine. I enjoy mine and havent had any issues but 1 misfeed so far.

Mine also came with a 30rd mag not 10. You should try to find a barrel that is 5.56 NATO which the sport is. This way you can shoot 5.56 and .223. Its also cheaper to shoot than the other chambers available.

    Correct it can shoot .223

But if it was a .223 chamber it could NOT shoot 5.56

look where i said and it should come with a 30rd
Edit: appears they are out of stock.

I never had any issues with my old M&P15. Solid shooter, but not near as fun as my x39 pistola :D

Hey guys! Just wanted to poke in on this subject. As many have stated, Geiselle pins are a high quality piece just like their triggers and are considered to be of higher quality than the KNS pins. Your money though. If you want to spend $200+ on a badass trigger then spend a little more to swap out the pins that were made and designed for that trigger system for KNS pins then try it out.

I had a Geissele SD-C in a gun I sold during the great panic of 2013. I want to get another for my LMT. They are worth it.
