I knew if i didnt post that one i would hear about it.. Is it That flat of a shooter as well? I thought the 6.5 was pretty far ahead of that

Correct, had my numbers backwards. Any of those are probably better than most of us will be as shooters/re-loaders.

 

I look at it this way

556/223 is fun for 0-500 yard plinking cheaply

300BO is great for having fun with suppressed loads (so basically 0-200 yards)

458SOCOM is just a fun caliber. But only really good out to ~200 yards IMO. But a suppressed subsonic 458 is mighty fun too!

22LR - Meh skip it and just buy a dedicated 22lr AR if you want one. Its cheap anyways

6.5grendel/6.8SPC/ect - Great if you want to hunt or want to shoot out past the range of 223.

Thats what im leaning towards right now too. I mean i got to keep the ar game on par with the truck game. Coolness factor should be the only factor.

Or if you want to try an oddball make a 6.8 Grendel like previously mentioned.

I've heard of a new chambering called 6.8 bsp (or maybe bps?) for subsonic performance and it still fires standard 6.8.

 

Yup upper and possibly a stiffer buffer. And only use steel mags. No plastic

Im rinning a jp silent buffer with the 5 spring pack and the tungstin pucks so its a nice modualr system. You dont need the buffer retainer either so its just open the gun up slide the buffer out and remove one screw then swap springs and put it back in and test that. Love the buffer and i dont have a cheese grader in my rifle any more/and feels a lot smoother
