It's a from magpull with a piece of 2 sided velcro (loop on the ouside)near the top to help with comfort. I like it all the others were to long.

Been a while since I posted the AR...

Swapped out the Magpul Stock and Grip with a LaRue Tactical RAT Stock and Grip.

Also swapped on a Magpul light mount instead of the bulkier one I had up front.

Still a heavy son of a bitch though.

SWR SpecWar. Have had it for about 2 years now and have not had any issues with it.

I'm running a Primary Arms magnifier (in LaRue mount) behind my Aimpoint Comp M2. No issues thus far.

I know it's not top of the line, but what are people's opinions of the Diamondback AR-15?

Why? Just to avoid the serial number? You could have bought 20 ready to go lowers for that money.

Where are you finding ready to go lowers for that price???? 40$ for a finished lower does not sound like a good lower. And i am a tinkerer so i like the challenge and will be a nice winter project.

Anderson, Aero Precision and PSA can be found at $50 fairly often. Just need to find a FFL that charges a flat fee for transfers not for each. The last batch of 10 PSA lowers I bought was $500 shipped with a $25 transfer.

I live in liberal hellhole ny. In the process of building a fixed magazine lower reciever. Local co out here dark storm industries makes a fixed mag lower that im going to use. I have a 14.5 bcm middy with standard fsp upper. And i am in the process of modifying a troy delta battle rail to run with it (cut it down to clear the muzzle brake, cerakote etc). Cant wait to retire and move out of here, although i dont think itll make a difference by then.

Reviews are all over the place for these rifles. My buddy said it was a great rifle and he loved his. I really want to get my hands on one and run some rounds through it.

And that is exactly why you shouldn't risk wasting your money. Why roll the dice and hope? The small savings isn't worth it if you get a lemon. I don't try talking people into boutique stuff like KAC and Noveske when they're looking at entry level stuff, but there are brands out there that offer proven reliability for not much more money.
