AR-15 BS Thread

I'll have to check them out. I've heard good things about their triggers but haven't looked into them very much. I'm pretty new to this and all the different manufacturers are overwhelming.

Great looking rifle! I really like how that looks but I'd get the full rail. I don't see the FDE option on their website. Who did you order it through?

I'll have to check out Troy as well. I'm trying to keep it pretty light but I don't see the benefit in dropping tons of $$ on the handguard when it could be used on different parts.

 

My next AR build (or two or three) are going to be the "classics". A 20" original M16A1 style, maybe an earlier or different variant from the Vietnam era, basically ones that "started it all" so to speak.

 

I always wanted an M-16 which of course I will never be able to get or afford.
Would like to build something like that but with the triangular handguard to
look like one.

Man that is one pretty gun. I looked into building one with wood furniture like that 7 or 8 years ago but never did it now I wish I did.

 

Has anybody in here ever used the velocity drop in trigger? I'm looking for a decent single stage and found them on sale. I was also thinking about spending a little more and getting a Hipertouch 24E.

 

That's what I put in the AR I just built. I went with the Velocity 3lb single stage. It appears well made and shipped quickly.

Feels nice dry firing....this is my first drop in though so I don't have anything to compare with other than the 'combat' triggers. I will get it out to the range Saturday.

Probably going to pick up 10 or so D&H GI mags from psa tomorrow, keep getting their damn emails so im going to give them more money....

Yeah i saw that, if the mag doesnt have a window in it then i dont see much difference in a non windowed pmag and GI mag. I personally have never had a failure in either type so I'll save a few pennies on the GI mags. Besides these are just adding to the pile, i already have a couple pmags laying around

 

Where did you see the uppers???
