How do you shoot that rifle, your scope mount is backwards. You have zero eye relief, I hope that isn't a duty rifle.

Shoots perfect. Scope is listed with a 4 inch eye relief. I mounted it that way because I didn't care for how for forward the scope sat the other way. It's a UTG scope mount that can be mounted either way. Look it up.

image.jpg It can't shoot ideally. Because you can't get a proper cheek weld. Your nose should be almost touching the charging handle. UTG is wrong with their advice. I'm not trying to be a dick but your doing it wrong don't be insulted or obstinate I'm just trying to help. Reverse mounting a forward cantilever scope mount defeats the design intent of the forward off set.

What? Everyone's cheek weld is different in some way and depending on situation and stance, it could be way different than what you're used too. Not to call you out but I would expect @DeputyJ to have maybe a little more experience than an average citizen in textbook procedure of properly shouldering of a rifle. If I'm wrong and you have had major experience as law enforcement or military, than I take that back, but there's still no reason to call someone out on their placement of a scope, if it helps him keep shots on center mass, then I'm all for it.

Not every one shoots ntch. I was taught this way in the military, but that is not the ideal shooting position for every individual or situation.
You need to set up your rifle so that if works YOU . Doesn't really matter if it is out of the norm just as long as its efficient and effective for the rifle owner.

It is, that was my first choice, i was 100% willing to dish out the $360 for it but its 1/7 twist, 1/7's great for those 220gr 225gr sub rounds but I'm not gonna be suppressing just yet. 1/8 can successfully spin up to 220gr but i'm gonna stick to the 120gr-140gr super area, maybe 110 or 115 every once in awhile, but those are best in 1/10. Anything else? I do also really like that the one i'm looking at is Faxon chrome lined, and a proper chrome lined barrel. I'm ok with non chromed, i just cant find anything else that isnt SS.

That goes along with mounting a scope also, 90% of the people out there do not know how to mount a scope, and 50% of them think they do. They'll buy the cheapest rings they can find, throw him on what ever the platform is there using without checking them, to see if they're true, then lapping them and seating them, and then throw way too much to torque to the screws holding the scope down.

This is my sales tip to all:

Do not buy a used scopes with the rings still mounted, ask the seller to remove the rings so you can see the entire tube, and just because the rings are mounted on a scope at the point of sale. doesn't mean that It can just be mounted right back onto another platform without re-truing/lapping the rings to ensure trueness...... and of bitch!

    Many & varied

I've seen both vids. One is a freelance writer trying to make a buck with a click-bait title. The other is a kid with nothing to gain who probably did not consent to being filmed and also failed firearm safety 101 within the first second of the video. Lastly, there's this pointless meme that does nothing to positively benefit 2nd amendment rights or nurture rewarding dialogue between firearms enthusiasts and people who are pro-increased firearm regulations (two positions that are not mutually exclusive). This meme, like most memes is pointless shit-talking. Now, back to polishing my pistol...

Did some night shooting this evening, I've definitely gotten the bug to build a 12.5" 6.8 upper, I'm thinking a nice 2-8 scope, TLR-1HL and a sling would be just about the perfect setup.
    16" is a 6.8 and the 7.5" is a 556.
The light is usually on the 7.5 but I shot the 6.8 last this evening and haven't bothered to switch it back because I kinda like it on there.
