Yea but depending on the reload you could have the same velocity and distance in a 6.5 CM as you would in a 300 Win Mag but a lot less recoil

Plus Ruger just released the 6mm and the 556 now right?

Hahahah i really want to build my ar10 in 6.5 and im not worried a bit about the accubond LR dropping the deer out here but deer and elk are the same season for me and im not quite sure about stopping one of the big bulls up here without a perfect double lung or heart. So no quarering..

I kind of think you have already answered your own question, if you need any help with anything on your 6.5, give me a holler

I would recommend a second generation over a first generation, the muzzle break makes a hell of a difference in muzzle flip and of course other upgraded features

That would be nice, but unfortunately they have already stated that they are keeping the RPR in short action only

I prefer the second generation over the first anyway. Aluminum bolt shroud versus a plastic one makes the decision easy. Now I just have to sell a couple other rifles to buy that  or I'll just build the R700 since it's a 300 win mag and spend close if not more than just buying the RPR

I did the same thing. sold a rarer Glock 19 to pay for mine. better hold onto your steel target when you get your RPR. @ 200 yards, there's like 2,100 foot pounds of energy being released on that poor target. My BC is .610(G1) with ELD 140"s. That round pounds down that plate.:infantry:

Need some advice guys. I have someone wanting to trade me my R700 in 300 Win Mag for a Savage Axis in 30-06 with an 80% arms lower receiver and easy jig. Does that seem like a resonable offer?

Depends...Do you want a 30-06? If so go for it...If you still want your 300 Win Mag or don't want the 06 then dont

Yea I thought about it and decided not to. I'd sell the 300 win mag for a AR10 receiver set but not really wanting 30-06
