Working away. The shop has been slow because of tax season, so I've been flipping Subarus and Toyotas. Tried breaking a trail 2 weekends ago and gave the winch on the Mrs. FJ a workout. Other than that, just waiting for access to the mountains. I've been teaching the 15 yr old how to drive on my old '94 Toy too, so we've been doing some prairie dog shooting too. Nice to get my cross hairs on something again.

Ok, so im for the most part just waiting for now. Apparently when there is a dispute on Calguns, the Admins handle it personally and contact the two parties for statements, etc. Add that to what i posted and my negative feedback being deleted until the matter is resolved and they deem it appropriate to post. Ive never seen anything handled like this before where Admins place themselves in the middle of situations, i really dont know what to make of it. Its not like a darkweb market where there is an escrow account they can seize. I really am not sure what will come of this, though the deputy admin that ive been corresponding with says he is requesting that this Choi guy refunds it.

I offered one compromise. I took it to Addax Tactical, and their gunsmith offered to strip the whole thing down, do an inspection and headspace check, and reassemble it for $81. At least then i would know for sure that its is good to go order. Im split, cause I do want to build an AR with all of these parts, but not where i dont know to what extent they were molested before i got them. If the guy would agree to that, i may accept it as a resolution. Im just really not sure right now.

BTW, Joseph Kyungjo Choi. I found his address fairly easily, hes really lousy at his personal online security. This is very surprising, as according to his Linkedin page he was a former Intelligence Analyst with the United States Marine Corps from 2004 – 2010. Thats a damn shame.

Yeah, prairie dogs definitely make for some good long distance practice. We have a woodchucks out here, but not as plentiful as you're prairie dogs, or as you call them, rockchucks, or are those two different targets ?

Deleting your posts until the investigation has completely baffled me. But each site is different.
So this guy is a former Marine and doesn't seem to know how to accurately describe a gun? I call total bullshit.
And you are more mellow about this than I would be. I would want this scumbag to show up face to face with all my cash so I could shove the rifle where it belongs.
Yesterday I bought a shotgun from a kid who drove an hhour to do the PPT. as we are completing the transfer, I pull out $350 (the agreed upon price) in cash, folded over and saIs, 175 right?
He went white then realized I was kidding as he counts the money. He said he had driven twice over an hour with an agreed price only to get low balled when face to face.

Seems t here are assholes all over Cal Guns.
I am sorry him and you have meet any of them.
One thing I have starred doing, copy and paste the original ad in the first on.

Best of luck with ths issue.

    Keep me updated please.

    Semper Fi!

He's doing very well for only about 14 hours under his belt so far. He's only made me nervous a couple of times so far. LOL

Our prairie dogs are probably what most call gophers. Rock Chucks are called Marmots, and we have those too, just not on the flats. They're all over the creek and river systems in the nearby mountains. Weird little critters. Never shot one. We shoot the gophers/prairie dogs to help the ranchers. Cattle step in their holes and break legs and stuff. There are just an over abundance of them in places and I don't mind helping to feed the Hawks, Falcons, and Eagles that we have out here. We mostly use .22 but occasionally use the M4 or the .270 for $hits and giggles. Using the .270 is like laying them out on a plate for the predators as they're pretty much de-skinned for them. Haha!

Thats really a shame that the site seems to attract that level of degenerates. I have to think that not allowing public shaming of others who act this was, like weve seen here, is not helping the situation. Maybe the thought is that disputes that involve guns could get messy very quickly if left on their own.

Interesting thing that maybe you could answer, is it common for when you are an active duty Marine, that you can get a BA from UC Irvine? I would think you would be a little busy. Maybe hes claiming an ROTC program or a contractor position as being in the Marines?

I have a friend who's in the Army and in nursing school at the same time. He goes to a public school and nothing army related. Perfectly normal to have a school degree while in the Marines. You do BT first and then go to school followed by going into the field you studied.

Former Army here, sure you could do that in Nursing where some of those slots operate as an 9 to 5 position, but no way in the other 95% of Army jobs would you ever be able to get a degree given 6 months in field training per year and not counting all the 1 year deployments they are doing these days.
