Dude what the hell is up with that? Your not aloud to have a pistol grip in CA so in NY you can't have any grip?! I atleast bought a M&p 15 with a thordson stock so I can atleast wrap my thumb around it

I have a 4x32 ACOG on my 14.5. I seem to be in the minority in that I don't like long eye relief optics and the ACOG allows me to keep my stock short and thus provides for a more compact all around setup. If you want the same ergos with a variable optic, you have to push it way forward.

Can only have one of the following options: pistol grip, removable mag, or a collapsible stock. I opted for a removable mag and im replacing the stock with a magpul fix moe stock. I bought this right after all the garbage hit the fan so there wasn't any options besides this. It's not too bad after you shoot it awhile

I almost whent for a LwRc that was pretty much a normal AR but you just opened the lower and upper to release the mag, still had a pistol grip adjustable stock just 500$ extra from what I paid,

I just don't know, I mean when people tell me my gun looks weird I don't see it but that think just looks funky

Here you go. The 4x32 ACOG gives you about a 2" eye relief, so it allows you to snug the rifle up pretty close to your body. The short eye relief is not for everyone, but if you can get used to it and learn to appreciate its advantages, it's pretty sweet.

Just pulled the spring out to see whats going on and everything beyond the pencil looks like a solid slug rammed in there. Im really lost, wanted to shorten the pull a bit but the magpul moe stock extends it. Thing i may just buy a carbine buffer tube to replace to huge thing. Anyone have any ideas as to why they would do this?

Yeah, carbine tube for sure. It's your only option to shorten it at all. That stock tube still blows my mind. I can't believe they wouldn't have just pinned the stock on a standard tube. Bizarre.

This. I have a 1-4x PST on a 8.5" 300 BLK. All depends on the intended use. 1-4 or 1-6x is also a great optic for a general do-everything build as well.

Im just baffled by this and might just cut it up to see if that slug comes out since a new tube is only 20bucks. Ill post some pictures when the hacking begins. I'd like to shorten the pull by two inches with the new stock

Solid aluminum all the way through, still 2-3inch left on the tube

A buddy and I were making 767yd hits with a Primary Arms 1-6 on a 300 Win Mag. Definitely not ideal but if the rifle and shooter are capable it will work.

Wow! Looks like that thing will be losing some weight with the new tube as well.

Ima weigh it tonight, I'd say around 3-5 ounces. Pretty solid chuck in your hand and the pull/feel with the new stock feels more like my hunting rifle now with plenty of eye relief for the scope in the same position. This saved me from messing around with a new tube and leaving it factory. What ever machine milled out the tube must have been one long bit

Whats a decent acog to look at? Not looking to spend a fortune.

Honestly new to the AR world, dont want a scope because i want to be able to shoot a watermelon thats 15ft away, but i dont want a eotech or aimpoint because i want to be able to shoot a clay pigeon or water bottle thats 100 yards away. lol
