I shoot out to 400yds with my stock trigger. The upper is a RRA stainless bull barrel. Its fun to shoot nonetheless. I maybe have $800 into the gun as I bought parts for it when prices were higher than now.

Hell, the only reason I put a timney in my AR was because it was a higher end LMT and I use it for coyote hunting. Don’t get me wrong, I do think the standard mill spec triggers are too heavy and could use an upgrade, but the accuracy of the weapon needs to match the dollars you’re throwing at it. I think this site is too much influence on peoples wallets, LOL

lots of times all the fancy stuff doesnt negate the fact you(not you personally) might be a bad shooter;) The rifle is very capable in its stock version.

capable of WHAT???? compared to a bolt?? inside say 500 yards sure! it will get he job done, you wont be measuring in sub minutes, but it will get there. "Were talking accuracy people"!! a $400 trigger does not belong on a reciprocating/repeating gun,
    period!!!
    THATS RIGHT, I SAID IT!

And that is not my opinion, those are facts. That little port (hole) that makes the gun Repeat does so much damage to the harmonics of the barrel, the bullet, the pressure wave out behind the bullet. It amazes me when you watch high-speed footage how much that pisses off the bullet. For those reasons, I just don’t see any AR platform being worthy of that high-end of equipment

Every AR I have is minute of man up to atleast 600yd, why would I need any more accuracy than that?

Sure, but do you need a $400 trigger to do it? Because that could also be achieved with $100 trigger. This is the point I’m making. Obviously everybody’s free to spend their money as they wish but you have to reach a point of common sense like throwing a $10,000 paint job on a 1983 Chevrolet Chevette. LOL

No because it’s retarded to spend $400 on a trigger, when a Geissele is available cheaper. But I will absolutely spend about $170ish for an ssa-e trigger anyday of the week. Because it is light years better than any other trigger available and probably the best trigger I have ever used in any firearm. I have no problem using regular triggers but at $170 it’s a no brainer upgrade.

Yes, I totally agree with you, at those prices we would be splitting hairs. I’m speaking the general tons of overkill like the guys bye-bye Trigicon acog’s for like $600 and stick them on the AR’s because they think they need it!

And don’t miss read me, it is definitely a different argument,
single stage versus two stage. The love and hate of those two are not price based, although unfortunately to stagers are usually more expensive

I guess in the end, after being over $100,000 deep in the gun vault I finally woke up and asked myself what the HELL I was doing. At one point I believe I had over 40 handguns alone and was just buying things left and right. I was getting a great deal but then it was like a woman buying shoes because it was on sale LOL. So I sold a bunch of shit off and now only purpose bye/build , I guess I had finally got it all out of my system !

At least for the most part I was making a profit on my sales, because many of them were bought in multiple estate sales where I would suck up 15 or 25 guns at one shot. and get such a discount that I was actually turning them around for a profit To help fund my habit

This talk about triggers got me to thinking. All of my primary guns have aftermarket triggers, except for my AR and my shotgun.

    Glock 19 - Suarez Flat Trigger & 3.5# connector
AK - Tapco G2 polished to break at 4#
PSL - Tapco G2 polished to break at 4#
ArchAngel Mosin M44 - Timney adjusted to break at 4#
