Besides, “easier” is for those other guys. Us here on the forum like to take the more difficult route but with a better outcome, LOL

Best platform for that round and that gun is indestructible and steel ammo (cheap) you don't want to shoot in An ar platform if you got steel ammo

I've shot plenty of steel case 556/223 through my AR's without issue. The only downside is the extra dirt and the scratches on the shell deflector. I don't see the harm in using it for practice, training, or plinking.

I have a piece of camouflage felt on my deflector so the steel casings are never an issue and it quiets the casing hitting the deflector so no one will hear me coming, LOL

He was only about 20 yards out. Most of the ones I shoot are less than 100 yards as well. If I’m hunting with my dogs it’s usually less than 20 feet.

I do not know anyone around here that uses Dogs for Hogs. Hell I am to old to keep up with the Dogs. But I bet it is a whole lotta fun. Do you eat the Hogs you kill? We all make sausage with ours and throw a Hog or two to the gators every now and then.

Yeah it’s a lot of fun chasing the dogs around. We eat most all the hogs we shoot make a lot of sausage and pork chops. Between hogs, deer, and elk we don’t buy much meat anymore.

I've put alot of steel through mine with no real issues. Steel can be hard on the extractor though over time.

Yes it's an Eotech. 516, or 512. I can't remember off top. Wife bought it for me last year for Xmas.
