    in terms of ARs you can still get lowers you just need to build it up to be CA compliant. I build a AR10 Style rifle last year. Just finished converting it to CA complliant. Muzzle Break, mod to grip to have a fin (Kydex wrap or similar) and leave standard mag release back on. Even though it sucks, Its nice to have the regular mag release again legally.
