Nope, not gonna happen unless it’s at a state level, and I don’t see that happening in your state.

Why stop at 1? Get two. Hell, buy 3.

One is none and two is one.

If your worried about a “voluntary” confiscation, buy cash, hide it well.

I've read good things about this jig, it'll probably be the one I get when I commit to getting a Jig.

There are currently FOUR manufacturers that produce the majority of lower receivers for the AR market. MMS, CMT, LMT and LAR who receive orders from many licensed manufacturers who obtain an ATF variance to have them cut and logo receivers on their behalf. JVP and Superior Arms cut for a couple of different companies as well.
Not all inclusive, and a few brands have had more than one manufacturer cut their receivers. Many companies receive CMT and LMT cuts in the white and finish them themselves.

LMT = LMT, Lauer(old), DS Arms, PWA, Eagle, Knights Armament, Barrett, Bushmaster (?)
CMT = Stag, RRA, High Standard, Noveske (old), Century (current), Global Tactical, CLE, S&W, MGI (1st batch), WilsonTactical, (some?) Colt, Ratworx
LAR = Grizzly, Bushmaster (L Prefix), Ameetech, (?)DPMS, CMMG, Double Star, Fulton, Spike's Tactical, Noveske (new)
MMS = Mega, Gunsmoke, Dalphon, POF (forged), Alexander Arms, Stinger, Spike's Tactical(old)

If you consider your time and effort, its not worth it. If you just want a lower then there are alternatives that are equally priced and cheaper.

yeah, thats what i am feeling. factoring in cost of the jig and proper tools, not worth it for a couple / few. and likely could get in some deep poop if you started churning them out and selling them :anonymous:

some and more and more and more and
From all the people I have run into, the only reason why they mess with 80% lowers it so they don’t have a serial number on there finished AR like there tying to keep it from the government instead of going and buying their lowers at a gun show like the rest of us. The last show I was at I bout 3 lowers completely ready to go for $200 apiece (no paperwork)
    And they were Aero Percision’s

There’s is a sense of pride in “making” your own firearm start to finish. As others have already said, for the most part it’s not worth it-money wise unless you plan on doing a bunch or splitting the cost of the tools and jig with friends.
Especailly when you see places like PSA that sell stripped lowers for as low as $30 sometimes.
