Anybody use the Nordic Components Dedicated 22 upper? It looks pretty sweet and has a stainless barrel.

SLR. I paid extra for a "toolless" version which broke off after 10 rds. SLR said too bad, they don't make parts for It anymore so I converted it to Allen wrench adjuster. It fused in it's current positon and the Allen wrench adjuster is now stripped. junk.

Best upper I've found. They have a short barrel version too which I think I want if I build one.

Use cerakotes locator. They’ll point you in the right direction. What are you looking to have done?

I want to have the rail, lower, and upper painted either in some kind of campoflauge. Republic rifle in Laguna Beach has some cool work. I just don’t have the talent to do it myself with duracoat.

It’s not hard. Duracoat is really easy to work with. Just buy the stencils and do it! Cerakote is a bit harder as it takes more prep work and doesn’t stick to itself like duracoat does.

Question, does the forward assist do anything on a 22lr conversion? I'm assuming no, but I've never used a 22lr AR.

I think it depends if the bolt has the serrations or not. If it does the yes, FA works the same.

Did you see the Spinta just release a new 9mm bolt with serrations on it for FA :D

If you have to jam a 9mm or 22LR round into chamber, you shouldn't be shooting that particular round....

So 22lr does have forward assist then or is that just that CMMG isn't using a slick slide upper?

Finding a dedicated 22lb full upper I want is kinda a PITA. Nordic Components is the only one I found with a stainless barrel and of course they're sold out.
