I took my PSA build M4 style AR down to my range today to sight in the regular sights and also the Vortex Sparc AR I got for it. I fired it right after I'd finished the build and it seemed to be shooting high and right. I set the zero target at 25 yards and fired 3 sighter rounds from my bench......maybe just a tad high and right. :) I tinkered a bit just to confirm the zero and then adjusted the red dot. Once I was satisfied, I switched to a silhouette at 50 yards and fired 20 rounds as quickly as I could put the red dot close to center mass. I'm happy. I have to say that while I can certainly see a difference between it and my Saint Edge - the mil spec trigger is clunky...but predictable - the quality of the PSA kit is great.

    I missed the fly, though.

Hey Col. If you replace that factory trigger for a 3.5 pound aftermarket trigger that AR will let you see one ragged hole next to that Fly you missed :D

so the first of my two CMC triggers came in today with the flat trigger pull, and I must say I think I have a new favorite trigger! The first obvious thing is it lengthens the pull, which works good for my longer fingers. and it also seems to heighten my awareness of the trigger break which is incredibly crisp with zero creep! And I mean ZERO!

So, I now have a PSA Stealth lower on my work bench. I've got all of the parts needed to build the lower on hand or on order to arrive by Saturday.

Now I have to figure out what type of upper to get/build. Thinking of something without a fixed front sight and with a M-Lok free floating handguard. Barrel length? Suggestions?

I had to make the same decision not to long ago. I went with a .300 Blackout upper and a 3x9x50 Vortex scope for Hog hunting. just my .02

I always look to the intended end-result of the rifle. What do you want it for? Hunting, Plinking, long-distance accuracy? That being said, I also like all my rifles to look different so I can tell them apart in the dark.

Plinking more than anything. I have a Saint Edge for longer range, the PSA M4 for fun. Looking for something different but want to stay with 5.56. I've got enough ammo calibers already with my MILSURPS.

Since you already have an M4, why not go 18 or 20", just to get a bit more range on it?

    Can't beat that price.

From what I understand, the Wylde barrels are well suited for 5.56 and .223. Someone with a bit more expertise in the subject can chime in if I'm wrong, but the google agrees with me.

5.56 in a 18" or 20" barrel will let you kill Fly's :infantry:

Hmm. Interesting. I've always thought the .223 barrels weren't designed to handle the gas pressures of the 5.56 round.

I believe that's why they came up with the Wylde barrels. Something that can eat both without issues.
