    The DD models are less complicated than they appear.

    V7 = MLOK
    V11 = KeyMod
    LW = Lightweight profile barrel - their standard barrels are government profile
    SLW = 14.5" lightweight profile barrel - pinned and welded flash hider
    Pro = 18" heavy barrel, geiselle trigger, bcm charging handle, muzzle climb mitigator

    All of this info is on their website. I debated between a BCM RECCE and the V7 for awhile. Went with the V7 in the end.

    Latest pic of this build - picked up a can of Brownells FDE Aluma-Hyde II and sprayed the hand guard. Everything pretty much matches except the upper. I thought about sending it off to be color matched but it's growing on me as it is. Think I'm just going to love it like it is. I installed a LaRue MBT-25 trigger - will take it out on my range this weekend to try it out. Awaiting shipment of a Magpul FDE MLOK bipod.

    Anyone here own a Thompson AR 15? Apparently, I will soon. Bought $20 worth of raffle tickets at a Folds of Honor event from another Vet support organization on the AR. Found a voicemail on my phone from last night that I won.

    Thompson is owned by Kahr Arms and just entered the AR market this year. I believe they only currently sell them from out of their retail facility - Tommy Gun Warehouse - in Greely, PA; about an hour from me.

    I had actually forgotten about the raffle - bought the ticket back in June and they pulled the winner last evening. Based on the picture on the organization's website, it looks like an AR pistol.

    These are pics from the Tommy Gun Warehouse's FB page.

    Congratulations!
    INTERESTING! From black powder to AR's , HMMM
    Either that isn't a 223, or that oversized break makes the size very deceiving.

    It does look like it will be registered as a pistol, of course you'll have to let us know how it runs!

    This is Auto Ordnance Thompson, not Thompson Arms - it's the manufacturer of the Thompson sub-machine guns. I believe they are manufactured in .223 Wylde...I'll find out today. If you look at the pic of the left side of the lower, it says Multi-Cal.

    This is the Thompson I own now.

    NICE! I shot the auto version of one of those back when I was young in the gun club. There a reason you always saw them with there hand on TOP of the gun and not the bottom! lol

    Yes they do, I just ordered a scope mount in July, and I got the dillo dust, paint mixer, about 6 bumper stickers, & a few copies of the constitution.

    I appreciate the thoughts but I'm already set for what I need. I actually have a few things myself that I will be offering up for sale - need to fund an SBA3 and optics for the new Thompson pistol.

    I actually just won an eBay auction for a Magpul MBUS Gen 2 set of black front and rear sights - thought I needed them for the pistol only to find that the pistol actually came with sights. The set went for $50 so I'll have them up for sale when I get them next week.

    The same thing happened to be buying a 50mm sunshade for my Burris scope! Damit! The new scope came with one. That's what I get for being impatient!
