Geissele is my shit. One of their rails saved my hand when a gas block shattered and sent a few big chunks where my hand was. They’ve got some of the best if not the best triggers on the market.

This barrel is on sale now for like $130. Anyone have experience with a short barrel mid length system? I know I'll need a adjustable gas block. I've decided on building a pistol with the sba3 brace for my first ar. Eventually would run this suppressed.

From my understanding short barrels are better off with a carbine length gas system?

I’ve never seen an SBR with middy gas.
Judging by the description it’s designed to be used suppressed and full auto.

The charging handle on my AR is hard to get to with fat hands. My scope sets low and back. Recommendations for a better charging handle, please.

Midway has ambi BCM charging handles for $49.99 right now, but they’re not super extended like you might be looking for. Wicked deal for any red dot or iron sight build though.

Thanks again. As I've said I'm an AR noob. I bought a cheap.. inexpensive DPMS Oracle. I will have to check accuracy with this more more decent trigger. I just hope I don't fall in the rabbit hole of mods chasing 'better'. Been there, done that. It can get expensive.

I've purchased a few of these ^ from SI and Guntech:

Well worth it if you ask me without going for a full ambi-CH. I don't even have any more mil-spec CHs anymore without an upgraded latch.

As far as the binding, test fit the latch without the spring, sometimes cheaper or older CHs will get tweaked just from use or age. A little tooling around will correct it a lot easier before you install the latch.
