I wonder if you could negotiate a "buy online, pick up local" deal with them.

Dug mine out today for unrelated reasons, here's the switch in the on position which will allow momentary operation via tape switch or steady on using the button

Anyone know by chance if they sell a rear take down pin that doesn’t use a detent.

I've seen an IO AR-9 where the detent was left out from the factory. I don't think that's what you're looking for though.

I know you said not to ask but I feel like I kind of have to.

    Lol, ok here’s the story:

so I bought a Aero lower off my buddy. Order an upper and yesterday was putting it together. The detent was missing for the rear pin so went and got another one. Also he had the rear takedown spring in the safety so I had to fix that. Put the detent and spring in the receiver and started to put the stock on. Realized I forgot the set screw. I know you don’t need it but I figured I would use it since the aero receiver is tapped out. So realizing the spring is long and it probably needs cut I thought well maybe since this receiver comes with it, if it needed to be cut they would probably give you a shorter spring. So I just pushed it down in there and put the screw in. Got the stock back on and figured I would make sure it worked. Pin didn’t want to move that easily so I took a small punch and hammer and gave it a love tap. It opened. I looked and had the detent was blown out of the side of the pin hole. So now I’m like fuck. Ended up getting it out but the aluminum just broke off. Tried to put it back in to see if maybe it would hold, nope! So decided to try J-B Weld. Loaded it up last night and left it set overnight. This morning I drilled it out. Put everything back together, (cut the spring this time) and tested it. Well the J-B Weld didn’t hold. Too much force on that sidewall. So now I’m thinking my options are either 1) get a new lower. 2) try and use or find a pin that will lock and hold without a detent. Or 3) could try and Tig it and redrill but that wouldn’t really be worth it.

so I’m trying to find a pin that will work to avoid buying a new lower but if all else fails I’ll just get a new lower.

I’m actually thinking this is the wrong detent, the gunsmith gave me. Seems too small and I think that’s why it’s moving inside the channel. Can anyone confirm?

With the price of decent lowers right now I'd get a new lower. But if you really want to make it work you could try a 1/4" diameter Chicago screw.

    KNS pushbutton takedown pins:

    https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1003368671/

    I've bought many. Why???

I got a helluva deal on a bulk batch of 80% lowers that had a couple machining operations done 30thou off. The pivot pin boss and takedown detent hole.......

It was easy to widen the pivot boss gap 30 thou, since I'm milling them anyway and KNS pins work without a detent. Presto. A lifetime supply of ARs.....

On regular AR lowers I always cut the spring and tap the hole for a 4-40 set screw.

I put together my own using all CMMG parts inside a BCM upper, would definitely reccomend CMMG to anyone considering one. IDK anything about nordic though. I would reccomend using a tac-com pressure plug and CMMG dedicated 22lr charging handle to avoid certain reliability issues other people talk about.

    This and that...
Working on my first build. Should have done this before I bought a sold my first AR, Sig M400. Much more excited about this one and getting some new learning in. Think I’m off to a good start. Next step, stripped upper.
