I wrote the wrong manufacturer , it's A R Stoner, from Midway USA, we'll see how it looks, it's a slick sided upper, haven't the faintest idea how I'll like that.....

I've used two of their barrels before. A 300blk and 223 one. Both shot just fine. It's midwayusa's house brand so to speak

    Here is my AR-10:

    3BCD0091-7FF2-491B-9B76-EF88CA7D30EA.jpg

    Alexandria Pro-Fab upper/lower

    Aero precision BCG

Magpul grip (will replace with ergo-grip like on my 15)

    VLTOR collapsible stock

    3-12x40 scope.

    Magpul/Duramag Magazines

Little backstory. An acquaintance needed some money and he was willing to barter for some silver. A 10oz bar purchased this weapon without mags/scope. It did have flip up sights that are now removed. The weapon had never been fired.

On first fire it shot but would not cycle the next round and go into full battery. This was rather annoying. I consulted a few seasoned guys with what might be the issue. @wilcam47 was helpful as usual. This weapon was completely torn down a few times but never the buffer/spring assembly. Well sure as a BBQ attracts flies, someone installed an AR-15 spring instead of one needed.

New buffer spring and weapon fires great.

Next is toss the current muzzle device and get a brake. Looking at the Fatman brake. Anyone have experience with this one?

I do. Each shooting lane is 100-150 yards apart. My daughters would stand back 50 yards when I was shooting these weapons.

My oldest was pumped about shooting the 10…ECEC68FE-9C1E-4EF6-A48F-A2121124CABA.jpg

…until I racked off a few rounds. “Dad, the pressure just pushed in my chest!”

Maybe in a few years when she puts on a few more pounds.

I knew a gun dealer had a wife that was into guns and she was 100lbs if that. She loved shooting anything! She would shoot a 308 FAL and giggle the whole time!

So I ordered a Faxon 20" Match barrel, a tool craft DLC BCG, gas block and tube, took the old giant 24" bull barrel Aero upper apart and got the new parts mocked up, it all fits, I'll put it together for real, torque the barrel, drive in the roll pin for the gas tube, my phone and computer aren't talking, so I'll post some pics from the phone.

Friend was able to get some solid slow mo of the 308 bcg cycling today. Long story short with the new barrel with carbine length gas tube and adding the suppressor I ordered a heavier 5.6 oz buffer. Was needing to run adj gas block 10-12 clicks back from fully open to slow the bolt down enough. Everything else is running great i think this final tweak will allow me to dial in the gas system nice and proper.

Also really liking the Arken 4-16 optic on there.

    I’m

Just some random pics, I started to put things together before taking pics. Bear Creek 6.5 creed moor upper on a PSA lower, took a lot of lubing and polishing to get this combo to run, but it's a 100% so far8+T619KJQ26IcBQ2tv04Ww.jpgRfIlTGH8TsylJcDClmcG6A.jpg7sD%AwwRS5mczy9WjYW7Nw.jpgJMwpccozQ4GcuqlDutY33g.jpgQJ8%z2xrTkS9QgNjwk1WVw.jpg

I put together a PSA .308 AR a couple of years ago. Supposed to be my ultimate bug-out SHTF battle rifle. It's meh...

It's reliable, gets 1" groups, and works well. But, it's heavy, bulky, and just seems ridiculous for serious Molan Labe work.

    IMG_20201003_164153239.jpg

Won't sell it since nothing wrong with it, but have built a little more reasonable rifle in .308 based on the Ruger Predator. More accurate, magazine fed, and lighter and easier to pack in the timber.

That’s a really nice rifle/scope/scope mount/suppressor set up. Love the LMT and NightForce, thanks for posting!
