Yeah I basically had a charging handle working as a bolt action during the shooting session. Had 2 different brands and weight ammo it wouldn't feed either.
Got home started examining brass. Good firing pin strikes, but signs of extractor rub on the rim. Took the bolt out and there was 0 movement in the extractor so pulled it apart and saw the two o rings. It is also double springed so just took out one of the o rings and cycled through a magazine at home no issues. Will need to take it back to range to live fire to really confirm.

Google searched it after and seemed to pop up in a number of threads. Looked at upper tier ar10 aftermarket extractor most had 1 o ring not 2 so felt comfortable leaving just the one

Do any one f you have experience with the Bear Creek Arsenal uppers for these rifles? From the reviews I’ve watched, if I can believe them, they seem pretty darn good at what would amount to about a third the cost of Aero or Ballistic Advantage. Guaranteed moa accuracy a complete 18” upper can be had for around $300 with bcg and charging handle. My plan was an Aero upper with a BA Barrell but for a rifle that won’t be shot nearly as much as the 556 I’m trying to decide if worth the added expense.

I have no personal experience with them. I want to say that I watched a YT vid from Pewpewtactical on it and he spoke highly(don't know if they are sponsored or if he was paid to say it) and he spoke highly if I remember correctly.
I've got a buddy that has the AR15 Bear Creek upper. He seems to speak highly of it. Now this is his first AR, so as always, take what I type with a grain of salt :D

Here's the article. I know it's AR15, but may give some more insight

We got my son in laws first at lower built over Christmas and he’s going to put a bear creek upper on it he lives an hour away from them. I arched enough to see that up to about 3 years ago their QC wasn’t great but they changed management about the same story as Radical

Yeah, my only experience outside of Aero is just what I can read or hear from friends. I'm a huge brand whore loyalist

Lol there’s nothing wrong with being brand loyal. You know the brand and like what you get

Very disappointed. BA is having a big combo sale 308 bcg and barells 20% off and a combo of upper, hand guard, barell, and bcg for 30% off. I called to order the barell/ bcg combo but I couldn’t add a gas block or have it pinned even paying extra she says d nope just a barell and bcg and they do not dimple their barells so I said happy new year

You got me in to this :boink:

I got free shipping, I think that’s a normal choice but it makes me feel good. They also applied my military discount for an additional 10% off YAY! Only thing left on the lower is a trigger kinda waiting to see if Larue puts the one I want on sale I have a spare Milspec one.

Yes. I have the standard curved in the Larue and put a strait in my other rifle I’d like to put another one in this build. I know the standard is on sale right now
