@soCTrider should really buy a bigger tank and sell me his radiator plastics

I did get a grey SM front fender the other day, i don't really like how it looks.

    But...

I am planning on ordering a polisport black/white headlight, plasti derping the white part grey, and putting a light bar on as well

Nope. Just a rev limiter. In 8k miles i can feel when it needs to be shifted. Usually the powerband is declining by the time i shift. Just because i like to use almost all of each gear...not the fastest method...but still plenty fast enough.

Went down tonight on a hillclimb i've done 100 times. Felt like an idiot. Panicked and fell over. Bike slid to a stop when the seat hit a post in the ground (thank god it didn't tear) and the front tire hit a tree. I had to pick the ass end up while it was laying on its right side and manuver it down the hillside around the post in the ground. I
'll be sore all day tomorrow.

I really hate how the gas cap leaks when the bike is upside down. Thats really incredibly inconvenient

I'll weigh in on the wheel weight issue. I'd say you won't notice much unless you also go for lighter tires. At which point it'd be more the tires. Combine it though and I'd be willing to bet you'll notice a difference

Nothing so far but you know that's probably going change. Previous Vehicle: 2004 Jeep TJ Sport Mean Green high amp alternator constant 14.8v, 4" Pro-comp Stage II lift, 33" Tires on 16" rims, X-over steering, Custom bumpers, Pro-comp steering damper, Rubicon Express Track bars, JBA headers, Magnaflow Cat, Banks Cat-back exhaust, Airaid intake, Optima Yellow top, 5 farad Tsunami hybrid cap, 1400w RMS Hifonics mono amp, 400w Hifonics stereo amp, 2x Eclipse 10" subs 4ohm SVC, sealed wood/fiberglass enclosure, Alpine Type X 5.25" Components, Clarion 4x6 dash speakers, JVC El Kameleon CD/DVD HU, Neoprene seat covers, 100% copper wire throughout, Chrome dash knobs, Blue Interior LEDS, 4:10 Yukon gears, euro brush guards, hella 500 fog lamps, big 3 nonsense, throttle body spacer, LEDS Tails, Cross-drilled and slotted Front rotors, Class II hitch (welded on) Skyjacker sway bar disconnects.
Nice bike! With all the money you have blown on it so far and seeing your list of new mods you should have sprang for DR650. How do you like the suspension? may want to add fork/rear springs and revalve to your list.

Thank you! The 650 was less than my bike.

The weight was not worth the extra power. 344wet vs 317 wet. Oil cooled vs liquid cooled. Analog dash vs my digital dash...the list goes on.

With what i have done to this bike, the dr650 can't really do anything but out mph me. I can usually eat them off the line.

I'm going to just swap the springs hopefully this winter.

The DRZ has a totally different and much better fork setup than the 650, i can actually pull the top cap and disassemble the cartridge, then remove and replace the springs without replacing the fork oil or the seals. The rear is essentially the same.

And because my bike has manual fork bleeders, the seals should last me quite a long time.
