The s is more "dual sport", just giving him shit cause his parents didn't want him to get the SM like he wanted

So his parents just didn't want him to have street tires??? Lol isn't that the only difference?

I really only wanted the SM over the S, because its cheaper to put a set of 21/18s on an SM than it is to put 17s on my bike.

17s instead of 21/18" wheels, inverted forks, wider swing arm with block adjusters like a sport bike, fat bars from the factory. Better color schemes. Better resale value over time. More demand.

That being said, if i end up with a good set of 17s for my bike in addition to the dirt wheels that i already have, it will make the bike worth more

For some strange reason...this thing has lost some gearing.

It used to run 96-97 a few times all the way to 101. Now it struggles to get past 92-93. I have no idea what happened. I didn't change anything.

Maybe i got some air filter oil in the carb? Certainly not fucking taking it off to check. What a pain in the ass.

Uh not sure. Do a compression check? Check valves.

Valves were good at 7500. We're at 9300 now. Next valve check is like 14000-15000 i think

    Air filter dirty?
Try running it without it. On the street and with a clean air box of course.

Or the carb is dirty. Only things I can think that would effect it

Well start with the basics. Plug, carb, air filter. Then you'll have to check valves and compression

Runs fine other than a little throttle hesitation every once in a blue moon.

Just did a plug when i checked the valves. Valves weren't even close to needing adjusting.

Just cleaned the air filter about a month ago and haven't ridden 500 miles since

Maybe i have a vacuum leak
