    my sm has the bore, cams, carb, and pipe but not the crank

    Oil change acquired.

    Tire repaired and new tube installed.

    Time to ride. Truck is down so bike is all i've got for now.

    I'll be changing the oil in the bike tonight or tomorrow morning.

    Use a good synthetic, these engines are reportedly hard on oil. I use Silkolene Pro4 4T (think that's it) every 1,000 or so miles.

    It's a myth that you need to break in with dino oil before switching over to syn. Tons of new vehicles come from the factory with syn already in them.
