I'm looking to leave the compression and rebound stock. I don't know anything about adjusting it or how it will help me.

I ride about 60/40 street vs dirt

I'm 185lbs without my gear and usually ride with a backpack. So we'll call it 195-200lbs with gear.

Racetech website calculator recommended for trail/enduro that i go 5.7 in the rear and 4.8 in the front. I'm guessing thats all i need to be able to run stock compression/rebound, correct?

Yea, I went one stiffer in the front to a 5.0 and I've never had an issue so far with being too stiff and my pace is more desert racing style kinda like how I drive my truck according to the taco guys during the spring meet.

The rear spring is about an inch longer but the less pre load compensates for that which I was worried about when i first installed it.

Was going to go up today but it rained all day.

My bike is no fun in the mud.

You'd have a blast up there.

Been thinking if/when I get hired, I might just sell the 300 and get the WR or DRZ if it makes more sense to sell the 300 to offset the cost.

Dual sport just seems like a much better option for me, especially since you really can't do what most sport bikes are capable of on the street. I would probably get something like an FZ-09 though later on if I wanted a bike that commuted/streeted better.

@AR15xAR10 have you played around with the calculator much? It gives you different numbers based on how good of a rider you are and a bunch of other things. Play around with it and make a better guess based on how you ride. Just a thought, I was messing with it yesterday.
