    Skids installed, truck washed, roof hand buffed and waxed, roof rack reassembled, spare tire inflated and installed under the truck, all other tires placed at proper pressure, interior dusted. She is standing tall and 100% ready for 9am tomorrow. Wish us luck!

    Welp, its running super lean because of the new exhaust I put on. It hasn’t been driven enough to learn yet.

    So the check engine light came on, while on my way to the town i took it to get inspected in.

    It needs that O2 sensor, no idea how much they are. Looking up one now.

    It also needs cats. Because they’re starting to plug up. So i’m going to have to have someone cut the exhaust off and basically build a new one. New cats, new tubing, new hangers, use my new muffler and tail pipe to make it all one unit. Should run me aeound $4-500. I have a guy who can do it. But i’m not willing to mess with it right now. I’m just going to stick that sensor back in and monitor everything with an ultragauge. I’ll talk to the guy about the exhaust work and see what he thinks and when he would be willing to do it.

    I just did this. Are you a Cali exhaust with two cats or a Federal exhaust with a single cat? Most I’ve seen have two cats making them a Cali emissions system. The front O2 is the air/fuel ration sensor. I had the same codes, got a DENSO replacement for ~125, installed it, reset the codes and have been trouble free since. I think I used RockAuto for a search and then purchased the sensor from Advanced with a few coupon codes.

    Dual cats.

    Previous owner stated he had the sensor replaced twice and the code has been a problem for nearly 100k. Which is odd because the plugs read beautiful and the motor is running great. It just could use a lot more ass on the highway...which leads me to believe the cats are plugging up. When i push the pedal down at 70 mph in 4th or 5th gear, nothing happes. I know these motors aren’t a powerhouse but they can’t be that bad....

    Do you happen to have the part number as well? I want to order from rock auto... they have two different ones. One labled auto and one labled man trans, no idea why they would be different but the part numbers are

    Mine is an auto and I paid 148 for the DENSO sensor after some discount codes it looks like. Weird that the previous owner would replace twice and still have the code.
