Right on man fuck those things. While we're at it fuck roaches and camel crickets. All 3 are infinitely worse than spiders in my book

You wouldn't have liked my Lasiodora Parahyhana then.

Man and hearing it's fang crack through a roach's hardshell, that was always awesome.

Well that's just being a tease. Need a pic (in spoiler, por favor) so I know just how creepy it is.

When I get home I'll post them and tag you.

I have pics, short vids, and GIFs I created from those pics/vids. They're on my home PC and I just left the house for mandarory drinking.

growing up we had a wood burning stove in our house for winter heat. most of the wood was stored outside but we kept a couple days worth inside. and along with the wood came plenty of spiders. i used to get giant welts on my arms and legs from where they would bite me - assuming they got into my bed and bit me at night while i was sleeping. they hurt so bad and would get all full of pus and crap. oddly i was the only one in my family who was bitten numerous times. i don't put it past by older brother for catching the spiders and putting them in my room/bed. he's never hinted at anything like that but i have my suspicions. for that i hate spiders...and my brother.
i'm not the stand on a chair screaming and make someone else kill the creepy crawlies type but once i find a spider in my house it must die. or in my garage. i get false widows in there all the time. at some point every spring i must take care of them and clear everything away from the walls so i can sweep and then spray some super heavy duty spider repellant.

My brothers are all quite a bit older than me, and made me watch the movie arachnophobia when I was about 5 years old. It stuck with me and I’ve had a pretty healthy fear of spiders ever since then.

The place I live now has a pretty large quantity of black widows, so that’s just whipped cream on top

Ok, so it's slow at work and I'm impatient. I googled it, but would still like you to post up yours. Actually, very cool! The big hairy ones are less creepy to me. The slick and.... well... spidery (for lack of a better word) nature of the widow is just plain awful to me. Tarantulas and the like are spooky, but not creepy, if that makes sense.

I agree on Tarantulas. That movie did indeed achieve the comedy status it sought. The voices/sound effects for the spiders were pure comedy. Prevented the movie from being horror, even though many would be terrified if spiders were physically capable of being that large.

Surprised @chris4x4 didn't pop in here. A true arachnophobe or just not a fan?

I don't know the true determination
of an arachnophobe ... does damn near burning your house down have any bearing on the matter? o_O

I didnt burn my house down. Ive shot some spiders, lost control of my truck when spiders fell out of my sun visor, and glued one to a wall, but never caught my house on fire.

    Shot them with what?

Actual phobia, or just a strong dislike?
