.44 mag, .45 ACP, and once with a 9mm. Its an actual phobia. I loose my shit next to one. Years ago, as a joke, a buddy put some plastic spiders on top of my sun visor as a Halloween gag. I dont use my visor that often, but that next summer, I was driving home from a BBQ, and I pulled my visor down. The plastic spiders fell all over me, My brain locked up on panic, and I lost control of my truck, spun off the road, and across a couple front yards. After that, all of my friends put a cease on the spider pranks.

oh shit! That's quite the near miss. NGL, I'd probably still do pranks, but in controlled/safe environments. IDK, though. I'm empathetic at times and I might feel bad for terrorizing somebody. Like this thread, did the spoiler thing so people who are actually afraid don't have to be looking at their fears.

So.... the house was set on fire more than once?

Yeah, movies and pictures dont bother me that much. Ive actually, recently, have been able to kill small spiders with my hands without locking up. Funny enough, tarantulas dont bother me.

Tarantulas are almost more like a rodent. I mean, size and fur kinda moves them out of bug territory for my brain.

When the oven blew up, it was mostly a "BOOM!", and glass and metal shot all over the kitchen. The fire was pretty small. The weed eater catching fire was.....well......I threw it in the middle of my yard, and went inside for a few beers while it burned up. I checked on it after I watched a NASCAR race.

The more spiders, the better. Growing up I caught so many tarantulas. Don't see them around much these days.

Couple days ago, though, I was headed back to camp around dusk when a fat rattlesnake blocked my path. After annoying him with taking too many pictures, I started rolling again, and boom. More wildlife sighted. Cool stuff. Haven't spotted one of those in years.

well......That was when I caught the inside of my wall on fire trying to repair my water line. Because I didnt have to re paint, I dont really consider that a "house fire"

Nice! I dig snakes, and also don't bother them. I'd only kill a rattler if it were possibly an issue for a pet or kid out camping. Out and about on trails and such I just like to look at them. They are polite enough to tell you they are there, so I just enjoy them.

That spider looks like its on a mission.

Oh man!! I remember that. I cant remember what that was for. Hell, last year my grill caught fire, and dam near burned up the entire front of my house. Melted my screens, and made enough smoke that all the neigbors came out to look.

Tarantulas Chris? Tarantulas! Out of all the big spiders you can come across those dont bother you!

We dont have tarantulas near me so that's a sigh of relief.

    :threadjacked:
I hate bees and wasps more than spiders. I'm not as afraid of them as you are with spiders but yeah I get eeked out when they buz my head. After I got stung some 20+ times I kinda hate being anywhere near them and try to swat them out of the sky so I can stomp on them.
Had a bee get into my work truck this summer. Had to drive a few miles before I could safely pull onto the shoulder and get him out.

A friend I used to work with hated frogs! Like if he sees one hes hightailing it out of there. He was gone one day and devised a plan to mess with him. We decided that I should 3d print some little frogs and put them throughout his locker and truck. Ended up only putting them in his locker but yeah he hated it. But we love it :rofl:

Does that classify as a house fire? ... just wanna get the scale in focus so we can communicate effectively.
... ouch, two 4 syllable words in a row ... now I'm hungry and my brain hurts.
