    Just the basics
Use the handle end another top and the threaded end towards the ground.
When you're not using it for rain you can use it as a flag pole if so inclined.

Found a few photos of my first experience of tenting the awning because of rain. Spent two days in the awning room during a several day trip to Saline Valley.

I modified my ARB 2500 a few years back to use on the LR Disco2 I had...I used heavier fabric, 3 layer windows with #10 YKK zippers...the roof bows solve all of the rain problems mentioned earlier...just took it on a 2 week trip down to Moab, Arches, Canyonland etc and because we were moving every few days it was great...ping me for additional info on it...

I am curious about the bowed roof. I had pictured some plastic piping last week. But that was just in my imagination.

    Interesting.
My awning is 8 ft from side of vehicle, but 6.5 ft front to back.
    2000 x 2500 awning.

Yeah mines the 2500 x 2500...The bows are about 50+” slid together...each end slides and locks to whatever ...I drilled 1/2” holes on the inside the front bar spaced to place the peg end of the 2 bows I used...the flat end just tucks into the top of the base rail...marked those spots with a sharpie for repeatability...

We use fake grass inside and outside the awning. A grass 'rug' fits inside perfect as bought from Lowe's (or Home Depot?)
